These cinematics have amazing detail to eyes. They're really windows into their soul; the artist does them great justice. In Uther's short, you can see his conflict and sadness and this short - in a moment when we think that the Queen is going to be evil or malevolent, we can see her true feelings with nary a word.

Yogg-Saron was the one that invaded the Emerald Dream and opened it up so that it could become the Nightmare. Ardenweald is connected to the Dream somehow. Now they sacrificed Ursoc's soul to save others. Remember what Yogg once said? "A thousand deaths; or one murder..." Probably looking way too much into this but it's a connection that just clicked right away for me.

I hope we get some storyline where Ysera uses some of her Titan magic to some how restore Ursoc. Yes, I know she "lost her powers" but clearly she didn't if she's still a nature spirit. There's clearly still some Titan power left in the aspects. It would be cool if her resurrection brought back her full strength and was able to revive Ursoc again. After all, they were very close in life.

While I have my own issues with some of Blizzard's choices when it comes to the writing, to dismiss how well these shorts have been made is a fool's errand - and frankly looks more petty than anything. I didn't even think of the video like that and now I'm sad too! I feel your pain. I had to put dog to sleep the day after Memorial Day. He was ~13. Doc was kind and left me alone with him while he was being sedated. I held him in my arms and talked to him eye to eye about what a good boy he was and how much I loved him. He knew it was time, towards the end before he fell asleep, he leaned his head up and put it on my shoulder, like he used to "hug" me when he was healthy. To make matters worse my cat died (16 or 17 years old) like 45 days later. This year... it's been rough, ugh. I buried them next to each other., which I'm sure the cat hated, haha... man, I miss them both so much.

You're kidding yourself if you think it's not relevant. I mean, it's pretty well known that the Druids of the Claw were Adherents of Ursoc and even returned his claws to him- there is even a section of Legion for druids dedicated to that part of the lore.

I got too late of a start to really make progress on much of anything besides leveling, learning my class, paying attention to story line, etc. I played the original warcraft games as a kid and even then loved the rich story behind it. Of course it is escapism! It's the same reason I read novels! The imagination is a wonderful place :) Balancing that and the real world is definitely the important bit though. Could I totally spend all day reading: definitely, but do I actually have things I need to get done around the house and time to spend with family? - definitely. So learning balance is a huge thing between hobbies and life. It doesn't have to just be escapism though, gaming itself is problem solving, logic, calculating, etc. It's a great exercise for the brain as well! But yes- still stupid, but it's not because it's escapism and I'm ignoring my real world as you suggested (trust me, full time career, family, etc takes up enough time that I definitely don't play as often as I'd like to anymore- because adult life) But it's more due to being invested in the lore since I was a kid, this has been a story that has spanned almost my entire life. That has an impact. Regardless of fiction or not- I still cry reading a book when sad things happen, where the red fern grows will get me every single time. Feeling emotions isn't wrong, I may personally think it's a bit stupid and silly to be crying because I'm am adult and think it's stupid every time I cry reading a book or watching a movie, but it still happens, because emotions are a thing we have.

as a Blood DK, I was initially sold on Venthyr, cuz well... blood/vampire/damned soul seeking redemption. But as a guild raid lead and main tank, this hits me hard. "Welcome to my grove, friend," and, "Anyone who threatens my grove is the enemy," resonates a lot. Protection and service are such clear themes in this - it's one protector (Ara'lon) trying to guard another (Ursoc) - and then realizing that Ursoc's wishes were always to be of service in order to protect a greater whole, even if it meant self-sacrifice. I gotta wait to see the Venthyr vid to be sure, but for now: sign me up my Queen, I swear it.

Maybe you find yourself unworthy and you seek penance, thus you find the task of the Venthyr to be perfect as you search for atonement, for example. @@henryhunter9643 It's not that there's a lot of stuff to consider, if you are an active member of your raiding guild, they might ask you to join X Covenant to help on progress, on M+ people might start asking for a certain Covenant ability for groups, this is not a decision that can be taken that lightly and it's not because of moral values, or you building a story for your own Character, this is the problem with Covenants sadly. This and the complications that exist with changing between them.

Luckily I'm not a hardcore raider, but it's kinda crappy that people are being forced to choose specific covenants because it's the most useful for a raid. The path our characters take should be entirely up to us without pressure to choose a certain one for whatever reason.

I feel lime the ones who thought this was bad do not understand the harsh reality of nature. Something must always be sacrificed in order for something else to live. It is so cool that ones who knew this bear felt betrayed and sad. Yet the lost soul will never be forgotten. I still get hella goosebumps when playing through that story line in Val Sharah, it's the one storyline I always play when Playing the broken Isles too, and now Ursoc is gone too... perhaps we can acquire the staff his soul was taken into, because I cannot imagine many other souls in that forest were as powerful as his, Ysera's but thats only IF she went to Ardenweald and not somewhere else entirely.

@@Jelinek93 might be, her "spirit" did get etched into the stars, but then again Arthas's soul was split into two pieces so it is unclear what exactly happened... but then again Arthas was the Lich King someone who defied the natural order and used a weapon that wielded the power of the Maw to pervert the natural order so his soul being split may have been something that was a happy coincidence because I am sure the one lording over the maw had questions for Arthas, or, at least the part of Arthas that knew the answers to it's questions.
