just noticed at 1:17:00 you rolled catch your breath for fifi and she had no damage to recover. I'm pretty sure instead you can recover a grit rather than heal - just something to note for the future

Well that was a struggle, and no mistake! A bunch of hungry dead and some corpse piles never seems very threatening to me, but the fear hits and the normal combat can mount up if you don't get rid of them quickly. I try to land some dynamite in the middle of them, if possible thrown by someone who has grit after they have bunched up a bit, and if it hits it can get rid of a load of hungry dead, sometimes half a dozen. Then get the ones with rifles to advance and kill the corpse piles. When Cade shot the first corpse pile, he could have used a deadeye bullet to kill it, as he already caused 4 wounds. Instead he used one on the second corpse pile to go from one wound to three. I just wondered why he did it that way round. I agree that one loot card per person doesn't seem right for that fight, but three cards each seems too much. I saw your solution for choosing cards, which seemed fine. For something like this would you consider one loot card each, and one bonus card for the whole party (so four loot cards in total)? Totally up to you of course, you can do it any way you want to. I have a few house rules that I use, things I have seen in various places that seemed to make sense. Completely unofficial, of course.

Great stuff, thanks Paul. Don't know the breakdown of the peril dice for each mob. The Hungry Dead were 2 x peril dice + 2 Corpse Piles. So this card was pretty much the same in terms of number of enemies placed. But I get why you aren't too chuffed about it. Personally I don't mind 1 loot card for the mobs this episode. I do gripe about the high level threat like in a previous episode. But that is a gut feeling rather than a scientific observation with regard to how it balances out. Any road, looking forward to the next episode.

Yeah its a tricky thing to balance. I just think there should be some extra benefit to killing several different monster groups from a single Threat card? I think allowing the heroes to choose from a number of loot cards (based on the enemy group tally with a max. 3 cards) is fairer - while not generating too much loot. ☺

I was just about to ask if maybe Zeke had gotten dragged into a portal or something, we hadn't heard from the old boy in a couple videos! Glad to hear he's alright. Good set of turns. So in the new Loot draws, will the cards a Hero doesn't pick get shuffled back in for the next person's pick, or will they get their own set of three each? I could see someone getting put out because someone drew both Gear Cards and the lone Artifact draw while they're stuck with pocket change!

@@reefay7221 it depends. The range is significantly worse than the carbine. It also has one less shot. I wanted the option of killing the Hungry Dead then targeting the corpse pile and the range of the gravedigger wasn't enough to do both.

@@Catweazle00yes but with the +1 damage vs undead all the 4s you rolled would have been kills AND it would apply to the corpse pile too?
