had journal for plague lovers for a few months but couldn't really get into it. Then I listened to it properly and really heard the lyrics clearly, and now i can't stop listening to it. Class album and great tribute to richey

One of the greatest and most profound rock bands of all time. The ONLY major rock band to ever set music to serious, modern poetry - which is the only way to describe RJE and Wire's lyrics. James Dean Bradfield is - along with Bernard Butler and Dean DeLeo - the greatest rock guitar player to emerge out of the 90s, and a singer on par with the likes of Freddie Mercury (whom he eerily resembles vocally). Nicky Wire alone is reason enough to go see this band live - there will never be another like him. And last but not least, the music of Bradfield and Moore is up there with the Beatles as far as song writing goes.

Well the Doors of course set music to Morrison's poetry, but I just can't think of anyone else doing it, you know?

Richey is an amazing person, i say it this way because he is in his words and music, alive still. I understand, unfortunately as it has been said, "before its' time". The holy bible, really is the holy bible to me....i love the rest of the discography but Richeys mind

yes it's richies lyrics but the tunes themselves on the album. James arrangements Seans & Nickys to probably a lesser extend is what makes it great.
