It's hard to explain just how magical this was back in 1989 when we, as kids, first laid eyes upon it. You could literally play the cartoon which is what we all wanted to do. Those times are gone forever. Hold on to your memories and hope dementia never sets in.

@@tappytibbon927 well, Tora (not Rahzar, he didn't exist when the NES port was created) was a made up character specifically to this version (and lots of kids doesn't like no-name characters without any backup from the TV series or comics). The same goes to Shogun on level 8. The arcade version on the other hand became a great representation on of the first season (5 mini-eposodes). The only thing that the arcade version is lacking is the possibility of fighting with mutated Baxter the Fly, but, considering the fact that Stockman turned into a mutant only in season 2, that would be awkward, besides, the arcade cabinet was released before Playmates created a concept of the mutant insect, so they couldn't see the future profits.

The state of video games/graphics today are off the charts. It’s absolutely bonkers how much the genre has evolved. Truly. Having said that… I actually prefer video games like TMNT, NBA Jam, Tecmo Bowl, Mike Tyson‘s Punch-Out, Shinobi, etc. over anything released today. That probably sounds insane to people who didn’t grow up in the 80s and early 90s. But I’m telling you it is 100% true. It’s impossible to fully capture just how insanely groundbreaking all those games were if one wasn’t lucky enough to live through it.

@Patricio4Christ7 жыл бұрын
I tend to have easier time with the NES version than I had with the arcade version. You can take down most of the bosses by jump kicking them. You have to jump out of the way before they can hit back. It's true that I get hit in the NES version, it doesn't happen as often as it happens on the arcade. I didn't lose as many lives in the NES version. The bosses stagger from taking hits, but you have to bring their hit points down to zero to make them fall to the ground. They're not getting up any time soon.
@Deined5 жыл бұрын
@Mixey Um ... this _is_ the arcade version. Anybody that's played both versions sees the obvious differences between them. The player in this vid just figured out how to toggle the difficultly, at least for the bosses. Not sure why your comment got this many likes.
