Some of the most badass ending credits ever. I played it at the arcade and noticed that a few times, especially during the final fight with Kingpin, there were slowdowns and sprite flickering, possibly because the CPS-1 hardware was being pushed to its limit at that point.

I don't think the CPS2 was ever given more CPU speed or better sprite capabilities than the CPS1; probably just a result of poor programming when you consider how quickly these games were released.

The Kingpin isn't even fat. He's 350lbs with only 2% body fat. Kingpin is a monster of muscle and a experienced martial artist. Don't let his large frame confuse you, because he has manhandled people like Spider-Man with ease.

Capcom should've made this into a Fantastic 4 game up to four players. A Punisher video game is great idea for Capcom but it deserves more than it just being simply an old-school beat 'em up. Even The Punisher video game in 2004 is a good example.

btw this was when button bashing games had evolved as high as it could get in game mechanics i.e movesets eg being able to rush, dash attack, do special moves like street fighter, grab throw, grab super, grab jump throw, grab jump pile driver, throw grenades or jump and drop grenades edit: correction i think alien v predator added one more mechanic which was if you grabbed you could tap really fast to do a lightning melee move
