The Dauphin truly is my favorite helicopter of all. The French company Aérospatiale truly was a pioneer, not only in terms of helicopters, but also in terms of missiles!

Just a "newbie" question. What's the reason for the pilots wearing gloves?

Those gloves are made of nomex, fire retardant material. In case of fire or problem with electrical circuits, the pilots will be able to fix the situation without fear of fire burns
