I tried it out of curiosity and it plays surprisingly stable. You need 2 mods and with my 3080 Ti I can pretty much lock 60fps at 1080p Ultrawide. I've had a few crashes but overall I'd say it's playable.

I don’t remember where i saw it but an explanation of this makes sense to some degree. Think how many units bloodborne sold, 7 million. If they remaster then it will sold a percentage of that. Let’s say 3 million. However they never expect it to sell as much as original release let alone surpass it. hzd sold 24 million units. A remaster would sell at least 10 million. Not accurate actually but give or take. For them it’s more profitable to invest in a hzd remaster than bloodborne from a profit standpoint. I don’t want hzd remaster, would rather have bloodborne. But it’s the reality we live in. Big corporations are always distant from their customers. That’s the problem. They evaluate things through numbers, not twitter posts.

How many new people who came in on Elden Ring have heard about this Bloodborne constantly from their Fromsoft obsessed friends? It does surprise me that a decompilar for PS4 still not exists. Because the games are written mostly in C++ and, at this point, the PS4 system calls and SDK are well known,decompiling the code seems pretty straightforward. The only issue I can see that might interfere, is if there is no way to figure out what is the version of the SDK used to compile the code in first place. Nintendo 64 is showing that this is the best option for long-term preservation for actually playing the games.

With a new test build which has been in the works for the last few days, fog, fire and all the other effects are rendering perfectly now. All you need is just a couple of mods (sfx restoration to fix crashes, blackness/rainbow fix and vertex explosion fix, i guess you still need the cainhurst fix too) to basically have a proper bloodborne experience at 60fps. I've already done multiple playthroughs over the month or so.

30-ISH with a BIG astrix. During Chalice Dungeons where the one room has endless barrels which blow up you dip down to like 4 fps. OG BB was rough. Incredible experience, but rough... This is incredible news, honestly.

started at version 0.2.1 where performance was really bad and where so many glitches at once occured. but with the newest version there are only a few ones left, like particle-effects (they're not being rendered or it is trying to), fire effects and the emulator still have problems with the havoc physics used in the game. now my old Legion5 with a 4800h and a 2060 can run Bloodborne in 1080p60fps! Anything above 1440p will turn the visuals into LSDborne and will have much more crashes. the emulator is not perfect, but good enough for me to be able to play chalice dungeons at a locked 60fps! @3:00 those arent cherry picked scenes, the game runs really this well! But you can also see the water at roms boss arena is not being rendered. ofc there are some areas where the FPS will tank, but my 2060 drops down to 45 maybe, but just in small areas. 90% of the time it is a locked 60fps experience!

Bloodborne may have more of a ' cult' status, but it didn't sell that well considering its cumulative sales are only around 7.5 million. Something like Horizon Zero Dawn doesn't have the same ' cult' following, but sold about 5 times as many copies, which may account for why it has a remake.

That's a good point, but Horizon: Zero Dawn having sold 30 million copies means that everyone who wanted to play it has played it, and therefore, sales of a remake will be lower due to the, "Been there, done that," factor. Since Bloodborne only sold 7 million copies, and because word of mouth has been hyping the game to almost mythical status, it's a remake that can take off and sell more copies than the original because most people haven't played it.

I prefer to play at 30fps and has the least input latency, that game has a very well crafted combat system, and is no worth playing this one till that get's fixed. And please, I'm no hater, I'm really disappointed the issue affects shadps4 too. It's a PPs4 architectural issue. Believe me can be milliseconds but they mess up the pace and ruin the experience. ;)

At this point john calling the ps5 pro, ps4 pro, is just his way of messing with us. There is no way he could be this consistent on calling wrong the same console HE TESTED IN ADVANCE.

i am thinking of upgrading my gpu just for emulation sake, 1660s isn't cutting it anymore although it can emulate bloodborne 25-35 fps

I would have to agree with the comment above me. It would sell well, but not as much as Elden ring. And to be clear, I definitely prefer bloodborne to Elden ring. Heck, if a bloodborne remaster came out on steam, I would delete my current installation of Elden ring just to make room. The point is there was a lot more hype for Elden ring compared to bloodborne. It’s not like Sony would have to do a lot to make money, which is why it’s so frustrating. Some people think that Sony lost the source code for bloodborne.

Elden Ring did not only have a ton of hype behind it and was brand new, it's also an Open World game, one of the best selling types of games out there. BB is a 9 year old game where most people who want it on PC already know that they like the game. It would sell well no doubt, but Elden Ring is just in a league of its own

Bloodborne will never get a remake, remaster, or sequel, and if Fromsoft doesn't make it themselves that good thing. But sadly we will also never get an official port either. But when there is a will there is a way and this game will not only be playable on PC, but the definitive version outside of online content.

6:35 Sony has proven that this is incorrect, people liked the bluepoint DeS but it was in no way preservation of the original FromSoftware game. This Emulation and Modding effort is both emulation on modern hardware and a light-touch remake. By their action and inaction Sony shows they don't care for what the people want as long as they can't work around the road-block that is "PS* exclusivity". Oh you want to play a 10 year old game well buy 12 year old hardware(that will double as a space heater and dust-burner) to play it at 20fps but don't play it in summer cause the hardware probably wont make it... or you can buy the new ultra-expensive hardware with nothing else of relevance than kind-of playing a 10 year old game.
