You're such a traveler, Michael. Dare I ask what do you do that takes to such wonderful places or are you traveling for fun? I wish I really could do Flamenco dancing, so fun and passionate! 💃Wishing we knew more about Isabella's history, we're on a constant quest for more information. Also, hoping the US Coast Guard doesn't ever board us and after walking through the boat hand up a baggie of white stuff and say, "Can you explain this?" LOL!😘

Nowadays, I do nothing. I worked for the Aust Federal Government Dept of Veterans' Affairs in the finance and then archives sections, then retired 2 years ago. I first went to the USA in 1974/75 as a little kid, and have now been to Hawaii 35 times, 14 of which have also included mainland USA, 17 to Europe, 3 to south-east Asia, and 3 to Egypt. I know everything about this boat. I worked it with a friend of mine for about 10 years. And I know where it was kept for the 10 before that. She was Poitin' for about 10-12 years.

Now knowing the history of the boat and that she was a smuggling vessel, will you be flying a Jolly Roger on her as well from now on? ;) Is that floor paint in the cockpit an epoxy type paint for longer lasting coverage in a wet environment?

LOL, we can only hope since her name is different that we won't be boarded by the US Coast Guard under suspicion of smuggling. Thank you for asking about the paint, it is meant for marine surfaces above the waterline. Topside paint is supposed to provide excellent color retention, UV resistance, flexibility and durability in extreme conditions. We've used in other areas of the deck and have good results. Hopefully that will continue to be true.

Hello, Kevin. The price for boats, like most things for sale, vary on the condition, size and year. We really got Isabella for a good price and have put just about as much back into her refit. There's no telling how long we will be live aboards. We're just going with the flow for right now.
