Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra took the world by storm when they announced their engagement back in summer 2018. Although they make an adorable couple, we just couldn't help but question; is their relationship as real and genuine as it seems?

Nick and Priyanka gave VOUGE a cover interview back in 2019 where they claim to have been in contact and interested in each other since 2016. However, events from 2016 prove otherwise as they were never seen together and were actually dating OTHER PEOPLE. It was later confirmed by US Weekly that the pair were dating in May 2018... fast forward two months later and they got engaged.

You'll find that in India and South Asia very commonly. We don't believe in dating we have relationships. It's a culture difference. I got married in a month and many Indians do. Priyanka and Nick knew of each other for years as friends atleast. It is a wise marraige of equal values. Both come from great families with great values. I think they're genuine, why is it hard to believe that two attractive people, both with a lot to offer each-other in terms of a romantic partnership and as team mates in life, could fall in love? When they got married they did the Hindu rituals that bind them together for seven lifetimes (Nick sings about it in Fall and Death Do Us Part so it's clearly important to him) with them both having strong faith, it seems strange that they would do that if it was all just PR. They're not together as much as they'd like right now because they're both booked and busy. Priyanka is filming in the UK until November, but they still travel back and forth to have time together when they can, they've literally just been together in Cleveland where Nick is filming. They were texting for a long time before they started dating, just the occasional flirty text, and their schedules made it difficult for them to meet up. Nick's Australia date night in March 2018 was when he wasn't in a relationship and guess what...single people are free to hook up with whoever they want. Also Priyanka tried to play it cool at first because of his age she didn't think Nick would be interested in marriage/children like she was. If Nick wanted to date/marry for the PR surely he would have dated Demi? The fans would have gone crazy for it and Demi had a bigger following. Nick and Priyanka offer each-other a true partnership in every sense, they seem happy and in love.
