Man, neural networks kinda do the same. You can draw what you're seeing in your head but it's not that you think it is. You know how horses look, right? If you try and draw a horse which you know in all it's details, it'll be some deformed monstrosity. You kinda know the overall shape, the main body parts and overall color but can you REALLY draw it without looking up perfectly fine, realistic? That's it, no one can. Just some people have a great visual library, and tons of practice, and some of them don't.
