As Americans, my husband and I are tired of all the violent, over dramatized, depressing shows that are so prevalent in American television. We love this show. It's one of our favorites of all time. The characters have unique personalities and we just love the way you insert history into your plots. As a retired teacher, I love learning about Canadian history and the way you inform us about the relationship between Canada and the U.S. We love the way you also insert famous people into your plots. We have watched several Canadian shows and have loved them all. They are so well done without the blood and gore and violence of American shows. I have a list of Canadian shows, and this retired teacher and her retired police chief husband plan on watching all of them! We hope that Murdoch Mysteries goes on for many years to come. I was introduced to Murdock Mysteries by a very wealthy 90 year old lady in Palliative care. At 7:50, I helped her to her chair, got her a bottle of Canadian beer, placed it on its coaster and put on her favorite show. I was told there was to be no talking during the show, but every once in a while she would say, "what a handsome man"!! I was hooked!

The guy looks unchanged from the very first season. I really love this seires -ALL of them (Murdoch, Dr. Ogden, Brackenreid, Crabtree, Higgins (named Henry Higgings perhaps as some sort of hommage to My Fair Lady's main character) are simply great. THANKS for making this piece of jewellery possible, at a time when cheap stuff is the rule!.

pcabrera: Agree! Each character is so finely crafted! Although Henry Higgins' missus would probably drive you up the wall if you had to live with her, every now and then just that little spark of 'normal' humanity breaks through and she becomes so endearing! I love the way they incorporate historical fact into their fiction too. My favourite line was when they accidentally 'invented' television but didn't take it any further as they could never envisage anyone wanting to sit watching moving figures in a box all day! How brilliantly prophetic!!

Man, yesterday y saw the last episode from last week and I was in shock because here In Spain always are seeing repositions of the first seasons from 8-12 years ago, and was shocking to see all them with 10 years old more... The changes are very evident and it's no makeup!!!!

Indeed folks, this show is a piece of heaven. Whenever I feel anxious, bored, sad , hell even joyful, cheerful or just lonely I watch this show, it gives me the best vibes, it.s amazing, I dont know what is it, but is just perfect, everything, dat place where is filmed is so lovely, the way it.s decorated, the way it.s filmed, the way it.s made up with great stories, the way this serial expresses emotions, sometimes really funny episodes, sometimes heartbreaking, other times thrilling or those you feel the misery and corruption in every nerve, like in the episode with Section number 5 Chinatown district, where Murdoch defends Feng Choy and fights till last to show the truth and seek justice, he battles with whole of section 5, the way Brackenreid consoles him is really wonderful, he appreciates a lot Murdoch and is there when truly matters, although he doesnt show freely that and doesnt like this kind of moments too often, it.s very emotional, I dont know some episodes really inspired me, same as the best books I read or best movies I see, without any exaggeration, it.s a part of me, it.s a part of my soul. :) More peopleshould watch such kind of shows, I dont know, there is plenty to learn from this show,is just amazing, the way Murdoch thinks, the perfect image of evil in Gillies, which is absolute great mind, but unfortunately it is used in a completely wrong way, that battle is amazing and it.s great to see Murdoch winning every battle, then it.s amazing to see the family atmosphere, the way it.s presented friendship, but same time the falsity, the simple comparison which differentiate the genuine from the false, the love between Julia and William, Crabtree heartbreaking love stories, Crabtree golden soul, you know what forget it, I cant even comprehend in a post the complexity of this show, it is just brilliant, absolutely brilliant, truly exceptional show.

I love Murdoch Mysteries sooo much❤ Easily my favorite show. I've seen every episode hundreds of times. It's like a comfort to me to watch it in a way. Every single day ends with me laying on the couch, watching Murdoch. I'm not exaggerating either....literally every night I watch an episode or 2 before bed, lol. I can't wait for the next season!! With last year being as crazy as it was, I'm surprised a horse that can run backwards wasn't suddenly born!! 🤣🤣 Or was one??!! My Father was born in 1901, and my Mother born in 1908 . So it gives me a glimpse of times they lived in, and the beginnings of the modern marvels to come . What an exciting time in history.

And very proud this is a wholly Canadian show!!👍👏 Yannick Bisson looked genuinely happy to be giving this little tour, he seems very natural & approachable to fans. I love to read credits, so the memorial touches on set, such as shop names, is really lovely! I would LOVE to see into the costume department, know what's imported or custom sewn on site, for cast & guest stars. I recently got addicted to this show because it came to Ion Plus+ in December of 2020. And I am actually excited for this Weekend's marathon. And I am so grateful to be getting a fun history lesson about the turn of the century from a Canadian perspective. As a US citizen to fun to see some familiar old faces from my neck of the woods, but to also learn about folks in Canadian history and see where the prototypes in 1903 transfered into the world we know today in 2020 & 2021. And I absolutely love Crabtree, He deserves a girl.

We, that is my other half and I, have only just come across Murdoch Mysteries and we both LOVE it. So far we have only seen about 9 episodes but can't wait to watch more. We could not believe it when we saw Thomas Craig was one of the main characters in it as we remember him from Coronation Street some years back and think he is a really good actor, but we were surprised to find him in a Canadian series.
