I'm from India. My Grand Father was a Bussinessman who travelled to many Countries. He personally met Shah on his visit to Iran. He was very impressed with him, He always praised him saying he was such a Great Leader.

@@babakhammer5963 What I recounted was about the involvement of the British government with the revolutionaries and the Air Force had asked for permission to bomb the ANTENNA (not people) used to broadcast propaganda against the shah. I didn't say he should've murdered people for personal power. If he was a person who cared about his country, he would not allow foreign powers trying to help those against him because foreign powers were not doing that because of what people were protesting about but only for protecting their own interests (which he, in his last years in power, was going against) and against the interests of Iran. Unfortunately he just proved that he didn't have what it takes to be a leader let alone a king with absolute power. The current government actually has shown that they can do it better than he did. In addition to the example I gave before, you could consider his actions when the Brits wanted to take Bahrain. He just followed orders and let one of the most important and strategic parts of Iran be taken. The Brits and our own government have been trying to help Saudis take the Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf for years now. It's the current power in Iran that has not allowed that to happen. The shah would've gifted them away if it meant we would ensure his rule for a few more years. He didn't kill people because he wanted to show the character of the current regime but because he was listening to our advice and overruling others in his government who were telling him not to do that.

It's interesting to know that 6 years before this date i.e. Summer 1953 the very same British officials who bowed, clapped and curtseyed to the Shah, had conspired a coup against the legal government of Iran at the time and succeeded in toppling it and putting the Shah back in charge whom they hoped would serve their interests. It is imperative to be honest and objective in any situation, to put aside criticism and disagreements in order to get into the heart of the matter. Nevertheless no matter how insensitive or hurtful it may be the truth must be told. The Shah was highly educated, highly intelligent, spoke 3 to 4 languages fluently as we know of, he was an absolute patriot and wanted freedom and prosperity and safety for his people, but he wasn't perfect - then again I don't know anyone who is perfect. In one interview with a BBC corespondent during the mid 70's the Shah said "....I can forgive you if you try to hurt or murder my family, but if you try to destroy or bring destruction to my country, as a patriot, that I cannot forgive..." The Persian people got fooled by Islam, a savage religion that treats women like mules, and encourages all men to convert or kill by any means necessary,...etc., all in the name of Islam founded by a murderer and a terrorist who married a 6 year old and waited until she was 9 before having sex with her! Imagine a 54 year old man having sex with a 9 year old; you can't make this stuff up. I can go on and on, but all you have to do is read the Quran and the Hadith for yourself objectively and see for yourself. Next, the Shah was a decent moral ruler, but the Iranian's said to themselves...let's see... what can we do to screw ourselves and ruin our lives?...Oh yes let's bring Islam with Khomeini's help and the rest is history. Yes it's true that America, Britain, France and other nations had a hand in it, but the Iranian people believed in all the lies and destroyed their own nation. No outside army was involved, the Iranians did this to themselves. I clearly remember how happy people were when the Shah left Iran, they were dancing and singing and chanting Allah Akbar...etc. It was as if the country as a whole had entered paradise. Well, the Mullah's came in fooled everybody and are ruling with a rod of iron. If anyone steps out of line he/she is decapitated immediately. Hope you're happy; you know what they say...be careful what you wish for, you might just get it. After the Shah of Iran terrorism resumed world wide with full force; we ARE spend billions of $$$$ each year just to reduce terrorism! The sins of those who had a hand in this heinous act of removing the Shah has found them out; they didn't count on the aftermath, just compare Western Europe before the fall of the Shah of Iran to now. The world changed after the Shah, and it will NEVER be the same again, NEVER. And those of us who had a hand in it are paying dearly for it.

I jus posted the same exact thing they don't realize that the Middle East can get very cold , I have not been there but I have seen pictures that they can get heavy snow like Siberia , I come from the Caribbean and it can get cold , in Jamaica it comes with sweaters and coats at times

Sun baked is actually used as a positive thing. If they said cold Tehran, that would have meant a bit negative. The same goes for when shah said "warm welcome". Brits always complain about cold weathers.
