Gurmukhī (Punjabi: ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ, Punjabi pronunciation: Shahmukhi: گُرمُکھی) is an abugida developed from the Laṇḍā scripts, standardized and used by the second Sikh guru, Guru Angad (1504-1552). Commonly regarded as a Sikh script,[3][4][5][6][7] Gurmukhi is used in Punjab, India as the official script of the Punjabi language.
The primary scripture of Sikhism, the Guru Granth Sahib, is written in Gurmukhī, in various dialects and languages often subsumed under the generic title Sant Bhasha[8] or saint language, in addition to other languages like Persian and various phases of Indo-Aryan languages.
Modern Gurmukhī has thirty-five original letters, hence its common alternative term paintī or "the thirty-five,"[6] plus six additional consonants,nine vowel diacritics, two diacritics for nasal sounds, one diacritic that geminates consonants and three subscript characters.

ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸਿਰਫ ਨੌਂ ਹਰਫ਼ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਬਾਕੀ ਅਖਰ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਸਾਲ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਹਨ ਇਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਲਿਪੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਕੁਝ ਹਰਫ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਬਬਾ ਬੈਟਾ ਥਥਾ ਥੈਟਾ ਇਹ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਲਿਪੀਆਂ ਇਕੋ ਮਾਂ ਜਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਫੋਨੋਸੀਅਨ ਲਿਪੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਲਿਪੀ ੳੁਤਰੀ ਸੈਮੇਟਿਕ ਖਿਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਨਪੀ ਸੀ

Mr. Coordinator, I am very thankful to you for starting classes of Shahmukhi language. Please let me know your name as I don't know. My father, grandfather, uncle ( Chacha ji ) were quite expert & had command over Urdu language, as they migrated from Village Pindi Manhansa Tehsil Shakargarh, but I don't learnt the Urdu language in spite of the stress laid upon me by my Late father. Actually I was interested in studying science, math. etc during students days & I did study the same. Now I am also interested in studying Shahmukhi language and Urdu language. Please make a vlog on village Pindi Manhasan. I will be thankful to you. Also I offer you & to all people of Subcontinent my greetings & good wishes of Diwali, a festival of lights, sweats, exchanging greetings & victory of righteousness over evil.
