## Problems Identified in the Passage * **Lack of Transparency:** The passage highlights the difficulty of identifying the "foot soldiers" of anti-Semitism on campus, suggesting a hidden or underground nature to the problem. * **Infiltration of Universities:** The passage reveals that anti-Semitic sentiment has infiltrated university campuses, with professors and students promoting harmful ideologies. * **Ineffective University Responses:** Despite efforts to address the issue, the university administration seems slow to act or ineffective in their responses. * **The Threat of Violence:** The passage expresses concern that anti-Semitic sentiment could escalate into violence, similar to past terrorist attacks. ## Arguments Made in the Passage * **The Persistence of Anti-Semitism:** The passage argues that anti-Semitism remains a significant problem on university campuses, even if it is less overt than in the past. * **The Need for Vigilance:** It emphasizes the importance of remaining vigilant and prepared to counter anti-Semitic activities. * **The Role of Universities:** The passage criticizes university administrations for their slow response and lack of action in addressing anti-Semitism. * **The Importance of Open Debate:** The author argues for the need to foster open dialogue and debate, even on controversial topics, to combat extremism. ## Evaluation of the Arguments The arguments presented in the passage are generally supported by evidence and analysis. The author provides specific examples of anti-Semitic incidents on campus and highlights the challenges of addressing the problem. However, the passage could benefit from a more in-depth analysis of the root causes of anti-Semitism and the potential solutions. Additionally, it might be helpful to explore the role of social media and online platforms in spreading anti-Semitic rhetoric and organizing hate groups. Overall, the passage offers a valuable perspective on the ongoing challenges of combating anti-Semitism on university campuses. It highlights the need for continued vigilance, proactive measures by university administrations, and open dialogue among students, faculty, and administrators.

I attended a very large, very well-known and thought of flagship state university in the mid to late seventies. These types of hateful, vile protests would have been completely unthinkable back then. During my four years on campus, I never even had one encounter with a fellow student or professor that could have been construed to be antisemitic. As a result, it's taken me a long time to understand how captured and corrupted many if not most of the universities have become. To be sure, there were "glimpses" of far left, woke ideology back then, but they were nascent and at that point were marginalized and contained, small enough to be considered "different points of view". Clearly, I wildly underestimated the problem.

In 1996 I was punished rather severely including a penalty of a full grade point in one of my courses for not being politically correct. And I know political correctness goes back to the early 80s. These are the sources of the problem you have today the Harvard professor who said “anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism there are two very different things” was the negotiator race near Sudan and negotiated favoring the rebel in what is now South Sudan. So that was the early 70s. The centralization of power in the movement to end individual right a pro racist movement goes back to Abraham Lincoln. And that was a while ago it will not be stopped short of another Civil War. We let it grow to long.

In today’s interview, "The Quad" discusses the current state of unbridled democracy and free speech on campus with Columbia University professor Shai Davidai. We conclude that thankfully such troubling outbreaks of free speech and democracy will not occur again, thanks to Draconian regulations making it impossible to exercise those dangerous rights, that have no place on our college campuses. Henceforth genocide will be allowed to proceed with impunity because any protests against it will be labelled hate speech and the protesters will be smeared and vilified.
