She should be a politician. I have so much respect for her; unlike other celebrity, she uses her fame for good.

She is saying the same thing Bernie was alluding to on Meet the Press yesterday. Basically that with all the hooplah over wikileaks and the specific day DWS resigns and all the different useless angles of what that means, we're missing the forest for the trees. Where is the discussion of the fact thay Tim Kaine never met a trade deal he didn't like? How about the 160k in gifts that he's reported from wealthy campaign contributors? Or the fact that there is only one other Senator in Congress that has gotten more money from Wall Street Banks than Tim Kaine, and it's the leader of Senate republicans Mitch Mcconnell that out raised him? Instead Hillary and camp are sitting in their hotel suites laughing at the distracting outrage over the specific day DWS resigns... only to resume doing the exact same job in Hillary's campaign.

If Hillary gets elected, this 'movement' is meaningless. it's the outcome that matters,..Not impotent good intentions. harsh, I know, but that the bottom line.

@shayantamdas50598 жыл бұрын
+Justin Rice Sometimes you got to stand up for yourself once in a while. Look at whats happening at the convention.....Bernie delegates are shouting and booing as loud as possible, only to be manipulated by the mainstream media by lowering the mic volume for the crowd and increasing it on Hillary's side...and voila Party Unity!!! No fuck that, these people won't give a damn unless we cause chaos. And by the looks of it these people will get back to their palaces once they vote Hillary... fuck being pushed over by the DNC's underhanded tactics.

Why are Clinton supporters always so unbelievably smug? It's unbearable ... and it's really going to hurt the Democratic party in the long term
@shayantamdas50598 жыл бұрын
David Stewart Because they think we are being smug...by bringing light to the truth about the Democratic Party lol. But most of them, especially in the generals, will be motivated to vote based on the feel-good feeling.
@davidstewart89068 жыл бұрын
BABA LSD Well, I'm not interested in fighting with anyone. I wear my views on my sleeve -- I'm a social democrat. There's nothing wrong with being proud to be a Democrat. People join parties for many reasons: principle, interest, affection (what we sometimes call identity groups) etc etc. The problem is that more and more people are relying on partisan cues for every belief they hold, even to the extent that they change their minds about important issues depending on whether a Democrat or Republican supports them. That's crazy. It makes sense in a limited way -- people don't have time to learn about all the issues, so when an obscure policy is associated with a certain candidate, people base their judgments about the policy on their judgments about the candidate. That's understandable. But people are increasingly basing all of their personal views on positions currently held by parties/candidates (and they change their personal views when the party's/candidate's position changes). Here's a quote from a recent Huff Post article: "As a classic case in point, Republicans are more likely to oppose repealing the 1975 Public Affairs Act - which doesn’t actually exist - when they’re told that President Barack Obama wants to do so, while Democrats object when they’re told it’s a Republican proposal. But even when it comes to real issues, reactions to polls can vary greatly, depending on the wording. In a new HuffPost/YouGov poll, we randomly assigned one half of the 1,000 Americans surveyed to say whether they agreed with positions Trump held. The rest were asked whether they agreed with positions held by Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry or current Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. The trick: the positions were actually the same. Yet respondents’ reactions were decidedly different. Hearing that Trump supported a certain policy was enough to cause Democrats to reconsider ideas they’d otherwise support, and for Republicans to endorse positions they’d usually avoid." Party affiliation is becoming a more and more powerful form of identity politics in this country, and both Dems and Repubs have become increasingly vicious/aggressive in defending their respective parties against both left- and right-wing critics. That's terrifying. It doesn't bode well for the future of democratic debate.
