Ok so riddle me this how does a horse with a chronic, blatantly uneven hind end in the passage get a score of 90.704%! Take a look for yourself one leg moves forward while the other barely does so. In most equestrian circles that would be considered lame. In other words the horse is not taking weight on that leg because it's sore while the other leg is over compensating. He does in the walk out of the arena too. I wouldn't buy this horse at an auction if it did that yet this one is winning ribbons. Dressage is a sport that continues to surprise me!? For all the wrong reasons unfortunately.

River P no? I don’t see it?
@coollikegrass24896 жыл бұрын
You see this a lot in modern dressage, and apparently only a few people see it. I don't know how, it's very obvious
@lyssakate5 жыл бұрын
Which leg is it, the left hind or right hind? If you were standing behind the horse facing their butt. I think that would help people see it?

The test was nice but 90%?! Laura Graves and Verdades blew them out of the water! The test wasn't any more difficult than Graves and Diddy's. I wonder what goes on in the judges booth, there is a lot of bias.
@MSS_20207 жыл бұрын
I agree! If you compare her test (albeit lovely) to other 90% scores (like Dujardin and Valegro) its not up to par. It has very nice parts but isn't as consistent.
@anastasiapapazaxaria5327 жыл бұрын
I can't see 90% in this test .Horses movement were so stiff and not natural.It looked like a machine and I can't see any chemistry between her and the horse.I didn't like it.I ve seen way better riders

During the highly collected work the horse loses its throughness, his back flattens out and looks hollowed at times. He doesn't look comfortable or strong. Yuk!

Concentrate on this horses paces, you will see this horse is very uneven behind especially in the passage but also in her general way of going. Obviously the judges aren't seeing this!? There's an uneasiness, trying too very hard, over correction in training that comes across which to me at any rate is not the aim of dressage. The horse also never looks ahead brightly, happily, it appears to be struggling. That hind leg unevenness, seem to be telling us all is not well, almost like she is afraid. Sometimes lengthening, one without the other, other times lifting one higher than the other, jabbing the hoof in the air, its a jumble that clearly tells us she is insecure......honestly I don't like the over all impression of force in a test. I think dressage needs to move away from this, soon and forever. Unfortunately until judges stop rewarding it and so enthusiastically horses don't have a chance they will see relief from this abuse any time soon.
@coollikegrass24896 жыл бұрын
I totally, it's the training of the horse that causes this. The judges should not be rewarding these irregularities, but this is the same organization who allows forward movement in the piaffe so...
@missnobody46083 жыл бұрын
Very old comment, but I agree. Isalbel really seems to ride the horses front end.
@equestanton10173 жыл бұрын
@@missnobody4608 Yes. It will take future generations of riders to correct this. Hopefully.

Lura Graves was Robbed!!! This sucked! The horse looked constipated and stiff, Movements lacking consistent expression and at times not really through.
@hazurajane7 жыл бұрын
Isn't that odd. While I am a big fan of both Laura Graves and Carl Hester, after viewing all three videos of their performance at Omaha, I had to admit that I 'got it' as to why Werth took the gold.
@NordeggSonya7 жыл бұрын
then can you explain it to me? I trained in Germany for years and that last "extended trot" was so working trot I don't know what these judges are thinking!
@hazurajane7 жыл бұрын
I dunno, man, maybe she paid off the judges. Kidding. I'll have to go back and look at the extended trot. There's something so hard-core and perfectionist in Werth's riding.
