The African land and wealth belongs to all those black people who were shamefully and deplorably sold by the Africans who sold their sisters and brothers to the European Christians and Muslim Arabs for centuries. The African states should now pay compensation to the descendants of African slavery for their role in slavery instead of greedily asking the diaspora for money to return to Africa. Firstly the term African is a Latin invention for the continent to describe all people on the land mass we know of as Africa because of them. Spirituality is the understanding of the inter exchanges of self and the outside world it doesn’t matter what culture you are from as a human you are going to have a spiritual system the only question is it negative or postive focused and implemented with good conscious

Blessings King, beautiful question. It's Both. And maybe, I shud do a talk on this subject. But for now... Yes, I use them both because both apply. There is no Afrikan Culture without a Spiritual System. The Spiritual System in truth is not separate or distinct from the culture. The spiritual system is in fact central and foundation to the culture. That which is most sacred in the culture is expressed and codified in the spiritual system. The separation comes from colonial imposition, which seeks to demonise the culture through the spiritual system. But its difficult to wipe an entire culture. So they attempt to make the culture superficial by reducing it to its expressions (e.g. Food, Language) so as to replace the substance.... usually with religion. Consequently, you have examples today of cultural occasions (eg naming ceremonies), where traditionally, Libation might be poured to acknowledge Ancestors, but they no longer do it, because its "Heathen"... So we emphasise the Spirituality as an essential and central part of the culture as a result of these dynamics. Hope that makes sense!

Spirituality (unorganized religion, or less known religions) today are not outlawed. They are wide accepted by many. Spirituality is nothing but religion. It is just that people cherry pick or they create their own religion.
