In 1992, the era of Sound Garden, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam, (all great bands FWIW) I never realized until now why Maceo had to explain to the crowd what "Happy Music" was! In 1992 it was being squelched out of pop music by alternative angst! Thank you Maceo for this lesson today, I have the widest grin possible every time this song plays, my neckbone moves.

Actually, you learnes the bass grooves from the bass player. I've seen this band 3 times, and they use electric bass and organ/clavinet/rhodes/draw bar
