Excellent content! Can’t wait to see this team come together. Milton looks like the back-up point guard they didn’t have last year. Could be a huge difference es specially with the depth of this team in other positions.

Excellent work! What I did not realized at the moment of Milton signing is that outside of Conley ( and Anderson at some degree because he is not a typical ballhandler ) we dont have high volume PnR ballhandlers. Now Milton can play in this role. Maybe NAW can play as well, but he did not have such role in NOP, UTA. Milton was main ballhandler in PHI in games without Harden. So this might end up as underrated signing from Connelly. P.S. I copy here my comment from realgm because it is about MIN bench: last season bench unit based on MPG: Anderson TP Rivers Nowell Reid + McLaughlin NAW Forbes This bench unit was constantly out rebounded: 4th in rebounds when starters play 29th in rebounds when bench plays This bench unit could not score from three point: 4th in 3pt % when starters play 28th in 3pt % when bench plays I see three main problems here: First, Naz has been a bad rebounder and positional defender in general. Second, Anderson doesn't impact the game as three point shooter. He has low perimeter gravity and low volume. Third, we played a lot of minutes either low effort guards or guards who lacks physicality. To make it worse two small guards played together as well. This season we should have following bench unit: NAW Reid Anderson Brown Milton + Moore Minott This bench has enough size at wings, but multiple young players must prove that they can score consistently from perimeter to earn my minutes in rotation: NAW Brown Milton Moore Minott Miller Reid is a slasher, bench scorer. He needs shooters around. Anderson has elite floater game. He can pass, and he needs shooters around. At mean 1-3 positions should be filled with shooters. I also see Towns playing five out with bench unit.

Pretty much agree with everything you've stated here. NAW is playing the backup PG with Canada right now so that's excellent for his development as a ball-handler and he is playing it really well. I think you're hoping for a sizeable leap in shooting reliability from NAW, too, just to alleviate some of those shooting concerns. As you said, they probably will stagger some starters in there. I'd personally like to see Jaden get some more run with bench units to give him some more usage as a scorer without taking anything away from Ant/KAT.

If Milton turns into the steal like you say and we all think, he definitely could replace Conley in a year or two! Shake is the same age as KAT! Plenty of room to grow into a great fit next to Ant!

I think he has the talent to be a low-usage starter alongside Ant, sharing the ball-handling responsibilities. But I also have a sneaky suspicion Conley might re-sign for another year. Maybe Shake could bridge the gap between Conley and a younger PG.

@@howlsandgrowlshoops definitely agree with you on that I love Mike! Loving the in depth analysis. Ready for the season to start!

Fun watching some quality P&R, both ability to score and hit the roller from a bench guard. With decent size, how is he at point of attack defense?

Leaves a little bit to be desired at the POA in my opinion. I think his size will make him better than J-Mac and Nowell but still hovering just below average.
