A question I need to ask, what remote do you use for this, or do you know a cheap-ish remote I can use for this?

I use the Flysky FS-GT3C. I think it goes for like a bit over $50. I have had it for a couple of years and no issues so far.

Finally looking to build one of my dream cars, which is the TT-02 with the full aluminum kit. The aluminum kits still around at a good price, thankfully. Then i'll get the stainless-steel screw kit, some good sealed bearings and tires. Haven't thought about electronics yet, but that'll be easy. Probably just go with something beefy and reliable for the added weight.

The ultimate TT02 is the SRX, add nice dampers and your body of choice. Stay away from anything aluminum that's not a Tamiya hop- up.

Is this brushed or brushless? I remember watching the videos but i don’t remember if this was before or after the conversion.

Its still very fun! I have one myself and have sunk over $300 worth of upgrades and is now fully track worthy. Im running a hobbywing system with a carson dragster brushless motor.

Well, its brushed and this is the “stock” motor and ESC.

Honestly, not very. LOL. Converting it to brushless to give it more speed.

Are you using stock 540 in it? I know you can put there 550 with little of effort

For that run, yes, it was the stock motor, its been converted to brushless since then.
