I don't use After Effects, like the creator of this video does, but in Sony Vegas you can accomplish something similar by using a tool called a Cookie Cutter. Cookie Cutter enables you to cut out specific shapes in videos. In this specific portion of the video, the editor cut out shapes in three clips, and just moved one to the left and one to the right and kept one in the middle. Then he just made it so the clip transitioned in to make it look nice.

I'm a huge fan of yours and a fan of league, although I'm not very good. It would be helpful if you can make it more obvious, at every play, on who to look at/pay attention to in the clip. I usually get lost during them and I don't enjoy or appreciate the play because I did not comprehend what was going on. The editing is top-notch, just please make a suggestion on who to focus; maybe an opaque circle, a watermark saying champion and player, subheadings anything! Thanks
