So it seems legal open carry is frowned upon by the Police.
@BryanTorok3 ай бұрын
Yes, it is. But, if you are a law abiding citizen open carrying, you are not going to be handling the gun in public and especially not pointing it at people.

This police officer dances all around the main point without saying it. That is: If someone points a toy/replica firearm at someone (including a police officer) who is carrying a real firearm, the person with the toy may get shot. Young thugs like to run around with the realistic looking toys and threaten and intimidate people because it makes them feel big. Google Tamir Rice. There are legitimate uses and places for toy guns, laser guns, paint ball guns, and the like. But, people need to be careful in a public place and adults need to educate children and teenagers.

Toy Manufacturers need to stop making toy guns look & sound like real guns. Plain and simple. Make them so that at a glance someone could tell that its a toy & not a real gun.

Yeah. The year was 1988. But, flourescent colored tips capped toy guns and novelty firearms. "Here we go again"...with a music television video tribute to Whitesnake.😅

Uhhmm... These people carrying these "fake guns" are downloading and printing them themselves on 3D printers. They're not being manufactured in factories as you seem to think. And remember, Tamir Rice was shot and killed because a "toy gun" that was "manufactured" with an orange tip so that police would know that it was a toy - that SOMEONE REMOVED, because the orange tip didn't come off by itself.

There is no practical way to do that. The blaster rifles used in Star Wars (which most people would think are toys) were patterned after very real German guns from WW2. Also, replica firearms are NOT toys for children. They are designed for adults. The are made of metal and function and disassemble just like a real firearm with the exception that they can't fire real ammunition. They are purchased by collectors. Lastly, why do we always have the cry to ban something that many people legally enjoy because some small group of people misuse it?
@protagonist13583 ай бұрын
@BryanTorok you know why because it's easy to blame inanimate object than to teach someone a weapon isn't a toy.
