Don't use them tbh, they're too low, i hang mine from the centre hook. I don't even know if they are designed to holds rigs or not.

@@TheAutisticAngler I`m sure they are, but also I agree that they are a bit impractical. Non the less, they don`t bother or get in the way, so it`s fine to have them. Might be in some hurry or something, sometimes :) .

Good review on a great bit of kit. I was lucky enough to pick one up for £30 a few months ago, and yes, it is a bit heavy, but the weight equals quality & strength.

lots of people are reporting trouble buying them at the moment. The tripod is brilliant, but a tad heavy. and too big too fit into a quiver. someone said the salt quiver has straps to hold it.

I bought one of hese. I have also bought a boat rod tube. I have been meaning to try and work out how to tape it to the tripod for a 3rd holder so I can have 3 rods on the tripod. How do you have 3 rods on your other tripod, the one you use on your bike? I am also on a bike and this one is a bit too heavy for it, I agree. What one do you use for your bike with 3 rod holders?

I use an ian golds tripod on the bike, it's a lot lighter. This adaptation of mine is on one of my recent videos i think. I cut a bottle up for the bottom cup and mounted that with bodge tape, just above where the usual top cup bar is, in it's stowed position. The top holder i cut out of an old cream pot and attached it to the top of the tripod. This has only lasted 3 sessions, so needed to be stronger. TA fishing's Graeme came up with the idea first, but he did it differently, and properly!

​@@TheAutisticAngler Oh are Ian Golds that much lighter. I have a small made in china dodgy one I can use for the bike, I did look at the ian gold ones before buying this one, nevermind. I saw TA fishings shotgun one too! I think he used a piece of pvc tube. I can't get my tripod closed with the boat rod holder I bought on. I will have a bodge like you suggested I think.
