Shakin' Stevens In Concert 10th January 1981 - Make Me Know You're Mine

The one thing about Shaky...he could always pick his songs, musicians and producers. He sounds as always in fine voice. This concert was recorded in 1980 and broadcast early the following year. According to his biography the recording has been erased from the archives.
As it was recorded to be broadcast there will be no later overdubs or re-recordings on it. The whole concert is Shaky and his musicians at their best

Sounds fantastic for a live performance. If this is the Radio 1 Chelmsford concert, I remember listening to it at the time and recording it on tape, but where it is now I'm not sure. Excellent though!! 75p to see Shaky in his absolute prime!!lol

no this is from the Chatham gig he did. Ive still got the stub for it and I went to the sound chap on the mixing desk wearing the headphones on the way out at the end. and asked if he'd recorded it, in particular this song. He said they had.

The ticket is just a mock up that I used for all the Radio One Concerts that I have posted on here. It was from a Sha Na Na concert at Belle Vue Manchester in 1972.

@@dinatolding2826 It's not the Chelmsford concert, nor the Chatham gig! As far as I know this was recorded December 12th 1980 in London at the Paris Theatre (and broadcasted January 10th 1981). The fact that the guy on the mixing desk said he recorded it in Chatham, doesn't mean a thing. They often did, most of the times for Shaky's personal use. At least, that's what I was told by the guy responsible for the sound during Shaky's concerts in the late 1990s.

I was at this gig - still have the stub for the ticket. You're correct in saying the gig was late 1980 xxx (This is my favourite on the whole of KZbin in fact) thank you for doing this xx In answer to Hotdog73 - I did not mean the late 1980's -I wrote "late 1980", meaning Wednesday December 3rd 1980, Chatham Central Hall. This track was on his album Marie, Marie, in 1980 and was re-issued as "this ole house" album. :-)
