I used to work in zee studio india personally think that mukhesh khanna wanted to be old saktiman and handover the power to new saktiman in the movie like saktiman the movie rather than to reboot the movie as it would erase his identity as OG saktimaan we all knew but studio wanted to reboot the movie and change some storylines keeping its corr story to make it fit for new era,thats why he was not willing to agree who was going to be a new saktiman better than old saktiman who also carries that moral value in reel and real life he was trying to say in another way that he would be perfect for that role so in a way he was trying to reprise his role once again but couldnt say himself thats why he is always denying and rejecting all the actors suggestion the studio gave him and studio also got very impatient because all the hollywood superhero movies were booming at that time so studio decided to give it a chance but now sadly that superhero phase is over hollywood movies are not doing great as it was so i think they are backing out pretty sad how an ego of a so called our childhood hero destroyed our one and only chance to relive it and who know what could have been the possiblities
