From my experience, the schools have some pretty good restrictions on their computers (and even the network). Only time that I would be able to legitimately get by it is by using a VPN on a personal device. You could probably get around the school-computer restrictions and whatnot, but you're going to get in to a lot of trouble depending on how you do it. For example: if you reset the school computer just to gain more access, then you're probably not going to use a school-computer again for the rest of the school year (or even academic education at that school). I'd personally prefer to not risk that.

They're all incompetent, I installed Linux on my girlfriends shitty laptop but she had a small WiFi issue because they used WPA2-Enterprise (You just needed to click the dropdown box to select it instead of WPA2-Personal). So he proceeded to wipe the whole laptop without her permission and made her lose files and was surprised when the laptop was too slow to run Windows 11.

4:47 as someone who actually knows a fair bit about technology, what would actually be done in this situation of a corrupted operating system, is simply just a reinstall of said operating system. Generally this takes like half an hour, maybe an hour max, this is excluding the time it takes to download and flash the ISO, but what IT professional doesn't have a USB with ventoy loaded with operating systems, or at the very least the operating system their occupation uses? Probably the school ones.

If you're that worried then you overwrite the entire disk with 0s, let it run for a couple of hours until its done, and then just reinstall the system. What firmware are you talking about, Bios? bootloader? What you're referring to could be literally anything, and even then, most modern operating systems will prevent you from allowing damage to go so far.
