Y'all did both song so well. So so well. I still remember the first time I saw the hip. Y'all opened for them and to see you honour the hip and Gordie, is a full circle moment. You know Gord is smiling down on y'all as you sang that

To hear Cordelia done like that in 2024 is a gift. I got chills, just like the first time I heard it live 30+ years ago. RIP Gordie.

I saw The Trews and The Hip at a charity event at the Kingston Penn a few years after Gord's passing . It's good to see Gord Sinclair play with them again. Great vid, thanks for posting!👍

Gee the Trews should hire Gord and go on the road as a Hip tribute act....Just kidding the Trews kick ass all on their own. Saw them about 10 years ago playing our Junior Ranks Mess in Greenwood Nova Scotia. Unbelievably amazing show, that we were right about 2 feet away from them. Totally blew me away, just like this video does. Damn he has an amazing voice. Great to see the smile on Gord's face as he plays this.

Great vocals. Would it be a bad idea for the guys to do a couple big shows with various Canadian singers on the mic? It would work and people would show up.... just a matter of wanting to do it.

Lol sounds a million times better than downy sorry folks , gird wasn’t the greatest singer in the world
@UzbekistaniDenzel8 күн бұрын
Gord* Downie* didn't have a classically 'beautiful' voice, but he actually had a ton of range and control in his voice (not to mention uniqueness). I urge you to go listen to the original Cordelia track and listen to his vibrato and his peaking octaves around the lines like "I will NOT be there" Im not too familiar with this vocalist but you can tell he kinda stayed in a safe range rather than jumping to the keys Gord did in these songs imo
@billhinsperger81208 күн бұрын
@@UzbekistaniDenzelI’m Canadian seen hop 25 times the vibrato your talking about is his in ability to sing good lol my music at worhahahahak my music at worhahahahak lol he’s really a bad singer , lyrics and Melodie’s great but when you hear a great singer like this guy the difference is clear
@UzbekistaniDenzel8 күн бұрын
@@billhinsperger8120 Lol if using vibrato when singing is actually an "inability to sing" then most singers, including the guy in this vid, are bad singers I guess. Thanks for clearing that up!
