The old saying goes where the Barra get big the crocs get bigger. Looks like unbelievable fishing but I was nervous watching. 👍

Watching here in Florida looking at that tanning water and those mangroves it hard to believe there's not a snook or tarpon or even a redfish for 10000 miles however some of the fish are familiar like those Mangrove Snappers and that grouper I guess that barramundi is their version of a snook something tells me they're the same family
@wcoutts40343 жыл бұрын
Awesome video and spot! just wondering how heavy your rods were, what size reels you were running and what lb braid you had there
@CoastfishTV3 жыл бұрын
Generally 2 to 4 and 3 to 6 kilo fast action. Suited to cast lures. 3000 size reels are ideal. 20lb braid will hold these fish without to much of a problem.

Are you guys in "croc country"? (It looks like it). 🙂

Very rare a croc is spotted here. When they are, they are relocated promptly

Any lizards there ? Is that around or near the Mackay area ?

I have heard the odd ones get caught. Not overly big though like further south.

I’m from central qld but that spot has to be further north than Yeppoon?

Much further north mate. One of my mates little gem locations in which I was privileged to be invited to.
