Wow, there is so much to say about this interview, especially about this wonderful human being that life has allowed me to meet, Ayelet Zurer. it has been a great honor to listen to every word she has said. I completely understand the interviewer's feelings highlighting her remarkable roles on screen. She plays her roles transparently and organically. As the interviewer mentioned, she displays a pure soul in her roles, making us want the character to be real. I have watched many of her films and for sure I want to see many more. I highly recommend; Milada (which has been the hardest character she has played so far, her words not mine) Losing Alice, and The Last Knights. Still, I trying to get access to some of her previous work that isn't available on the common platforms (Nextflix, HBO, Apple+) in this part of the world: Nina's tragedy, Fugitive Pieces, and her recent roles: Shepherd: The Story of a Jewish Dog, and Moonhaven. Talking about Elisheva, she is the best from Shtisel. I don't understand how producers don't get to see that! Something I am taking away from this interview is her illustration work which I used to believe was just a hobby but it isn't. I wish I could get any of those books she has illustrated or the one she has written. I know zero Hebrew but anyways it's been written by her! To close, there is another interview by the NYFA (New York Film Academy) where she is more joyful and you can learn more about her.

Excellent interview. Ayelet Zurer is a great beauty inside out and an actress built her role with deep emotions and intelligence. Shtisel is one of the best TV series, great script, well casted and acted by every character. It’s all about relationships. I binge watched all three seasons with 33 episodes, especially the 1st season repeatedly, just to see Ayelet Zurer’s interaction with Michael Aloni.

The beauty of Shtisel is its universal theme of family, love, loss, friendship. But completely unique being set in an ultra Orthodox Jewish community. I resonated with all the familiar themes but at the same time totallly fascinated by the Orthodox culture. Bravo to the creators and actors of Shtisel! Shalom from the Philippines.

Wait, they're doing an American version of Shtisel? With different writers? That's not Shtisel, that's just the Americans getting on the bandwagon as usual. I haven't seen this sensitivity of drama from the US in a long time. I won't be holding my breath. Shtisel is a deeply moving masterpiece of film making, that can't be replicated easily. What a talented, fascinating woman, she was perfect as Elisheva. I agree with the other comments, she seemed to be the one that had the strongest connection with Akiva. There was something special.

@lc17153 жыл бұрын
@@Rolando_Cueva You know the orthodox community in NYC is bigger than the one in Israel, yeah? And they speak Yiddish primarily, like the older characters on Shtisel. Of course it wouldn’t be the same, but there is certainly plenty of room for parallels.

I agree. They fit very well. I wish he would end up with her. She is more mature (emotionally), unique and interesting. libby is cute, but too young and inexperienced, in my opinion. Akiva needs a mature woman that supports him, not try to change him or mold him. That´s my opinion.

I have watched other interviews of her and I can tell this was the one where she was more serious (less spontaneous laughing), yet gorgeous. I guess the interviewer has a reputation and the program as well, so she knew the kind of questions she was to be asked. Still, I am glad someone has told her all I wish I could tell her in front of regarding her talent. I think she isn't completely aware of the magic she displays on the screen. Additionally, the information on the web about her is very limited, unlike other actresses such as Gal Gadot or Natalie Portman. In order for her to be known all over the globe just as the two actresses previously mentioned, more information needs to be published.
