Frances Hogan || Chapters 12B & 13 || Bible Study: Book of Genesis || Voyage

The second half of Chapter 12 gives an overview of how things were at the time of Abram and how little control the people had over their free will. Frances Hogan further explains that although Abram was a man called by God, a man blessed by God, he didn’t rely on God for help. This was something that he had to learn the hard way. In Chapter 13, a deep study between Abram and Lot is made. They represent the two types of children of God - the children who choose God’s way, who walk with Him in this life and let Him use them, and the other being the children who choose the world and everything that can enhance life in the world.
