There's a good chance that evolve shaman is just not going to be competitive, but as a mental exercise, let's look at what could improve it. First: Why do you want to play this deck: 1) Guild recruited - 5 mana to get a 2/4 and a 7/7, no overload. Also, the 2/4 is a good evolve target, though the 7/7 isn't (though you could salvage a damaged one). A big issue here is you can't safely add other low cost minions, which was a significant problem, but perhaps not an insurmountable one (totem hero power, jade claws, maelstrom portal, and feral spirit summon minions and volcano tries to flip the board when behind). 2) Evolve cheating: Summon minions that technically have a high cost for cheap (nerubian prophet and corridor creeper) or multiple minions for the cost of one (doppelgangster) and evolve to get massive value. This is a big jump, but it often takes until the mid-game. Side packages include jade (it makes sense to use jade summoning on the low end since you can't have minions) and overload synergy with the giant (which just doesn't work since it can't compete with any of the other cheating). So definitely ditch the giant and attempts at overload synergy. The early game has to be improved, but adding low cost minions isn't an option unless they are really good for their cost sans battlecry (injured blademaster, for example, dilutes the combo, but a 4/7 isn't too bad). Of course most low cost minions with negative battlecries are not good targets for evolve, so Guild Recruiter might just not be ideal for evolve shaman, though it does summon 2 minions, so there's that.
