Roy is honestly one of my favorite lords in the series, up there with Eliwood, FE11 Marth, and Leif. It's a shame denounce Roy for not having a character by neglecting supports relating to him. Lilina and Cecilia's B support discuss how Roy has a bit of an inferiority complex, which is why he picked up swords as opposed to magic like his teacher.

Fun fact, Idunn was originally intended to be A STATS MONSTER, but then they relaized that making her that strong it would be almost impossible to fight her without the Binding Blade, so since the game was about to ship, they decided, instead of making her defeatable without having the Binding blade, they decided to make her piss easy either way by removing her Dragon Stone, that boosted all of her stats to insane levels, and replacing it with a much weaker one ReEdit: Finally fixed the comment, I posted this after watching this video, sorry for the inconvenience: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6Ovdo2mhMp-p8Ufeature=shared

Remember, the original Idunn's weapon (dark stone, I think) makes her untouchable if you don't have the binding blade (I wish they didn't remove it, cause Idunn with the dark stone would fit way much better with the difficulty of this game)

I mean, yeah, Shanna, Deke, and Lilina are still the Holy Trinity of Being Way Too Overpowered, but it's not like Roy's the worst unit in the lineup. Speaking personally, I feel like Idunn deserved more closure. With her backstory and implied power, the Darkstone would've been way better. I generally just accept the fanon explanation that she threw the fight.

Except Roy's sword is literally the most broken weapon in the game, and maybe even the series. No other character has even a chance to one-shot Idoun. Even with the dummied out item that surges her stats up given to her, Roy STILL carves her up with his sword. THAT'S how broken it is. Roy himself might be pretty crappy and bland as a character but... goddamn that fire sword.

You know, I had an idea for Idoun when the remake comes: -When you first battle her, you battle her as her unique class, Dark Priestess, wielding Ereshkigal. -When she is defeated, she transforms into her dragon form wielding the Demon Dragonstone as her weapon. You then have to battle her as a Demon/Mage Dragon. ...What do you guys think?

Maybe change the description of the weapon to say that, like the fire dragons, she’s casting the power from her soul and not a tome, and it’d be really cool in my opinion. Eric Lee even Echoes had to pick up on Grima to strenghten his story. I mean, the background itself is quite deep for modern villain standards. Still, if you need another somewhat unrelated game (somewhat for Echoes reaching out to Archanea, which will be Ylisse later) to expand on the former blandness of the main antagonist of such a “praised“ game, something's wrong.

I must say, while Fomortiis had similar goals in “merely destroying“ humanity, his ways were so much more wicked, disturbing and disgusting altogether. Manipulating an entire continent to fight the shit out of each other, that's more than “Haha yes, we are the evil side, we've hated you for perfectly fine reasons, but now we'll end you anyways“ like in Awakening. And seriously, did anyone feel horrible for Robin's “fate“? Feel bad for them? I highly doubt it. Maybe I'm just saying it because it's much more aggravating with Lyon and Julius.

Andy Roy Eh, I really like Id ~ Purpose as well. The vocals, adding in some of Robin’s leitmotifs, etc. really make it seem like a heroic conclusion. Don’t get me wrong, the organ and powerful rhythm of this song are amazing, but they give a different message. This is truly Idoun/Idenn’s theme, it’s how she’s suffering and everything that comes with having her soul used to create monstrosities.

It's so embarrasingto see how everyone goes like " uuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh de dish gam ish suuuuuuu unfair de urng ish tryjin to kil de plejer! Dis gam ish su bed and unfair!!!!!!!!!! " (sight) the reason you get the illusion of this is that A: weapons in this game have way lower accuracy than in FE7 especialy the axes and lances.B: units and enemies have just about lower stats in every single area. Of course that also goes for hit-rate affecting stats like luck or skill .C and finally the units in this game has way lower def then in any other installments. Of course that means everyone takes more dmg so if some bullshit RNG actually happens it hurts much more then otherwise. Logically that makes you angrier when it happens. And thats the largest reason people imagine this games RNG is unfair.

If he promoted sooner and got the sealed Sword sooner he'd be much better. And he's more interesting than Marth in both character and Games. Seriously Shadow Dragon (DS) Was horrible visually and taking the support system made Marth and Co. much more 1 dimensional than Binding Blade's major cast excluding Lilina and Roy (to an extent Miledy).
