They can make all the laws in the world, they will not stop all the ugly aspects of racism. Change comes from within. To irradicate racism it has to come from within a person's mind. If they refuse to clear their minds of the ugliness the laws won't do it. And as long as it is harbored within their minds, any instigator can stir it up to the surface no matter how deeply buried in the heart it may be.

I was in a coffeeshop, a guy politely asked if he could share my table since there was none open. He made a call and started to talk loudly on the phone, probably to get me to leave. So, I pretended to answer my phone and started talking just as loud. He looked at me like he thought I was being rude.. hilarious. He eventually grabbed his coffee and left.

My Fallback is people who stand in the middle of the sidewalk or stairway landing to talk to each other or use their phone. Like it is apparently too much for them to consider moving out of the way of foot traffic!😡 It always happened in one of my college buildings, I'm rushing up/down the stairs and a couple of other students would stand right in the middle of the landing, interfering with the students going up/down to their classes or rushing to get to their bus. Just move two steps to the side!

I'm not on my phone, when I shop or eat out. But, one time I had an emergency phone call. A family member had go to the ER. I left where I was. .while still talking to find out what was going on. I can see in an emergency. I have anxiety and yes sometimes I have to call one I know to help.

@@Jannett-ik5lh that is perfectly understandable. Anyone should understand that an emergency is an emergency and you have to make or take that call.

If you think people in the US playing their phones at volume in public is an issue, try living in Vietnam for a little while. The is is nearly silent by comparison.

When a random situation, that previously occurred numerous times is somehow noticed and escalated to a viral media event, I think it proves that there are some people who are trying so hard to find a conflict that they imagine one out of thin air and instantly overreact 🤯
