Nah sorry - this is a load of BS. 'It was JUST a one off, it happens' No. Beating up your partner doesn't just happen. I think this message is worrying as it's showing women that if it happens once then it's okay?! I absolutely love Kasabian, I've seen them about 5 times but this is not okay. Fair dos for saying sorry but domestic abuse does NOT 'just happen' and it doesn't matter if its a one time thing. Once is enough.

Domestic violence has soared since lockdown, so you could say for a lot of people it does just happen. The difference here is she took him to court to force him to change his lifestyle and save their relationship. I’ve suffered depression and chronic anxiety all my life and tried to bury my demons with alcohol and cocaine , I couldn’t leave the fucking house for weeks sometimes months nevermind be the frontman of a massive band , it’s too easy for people to use the mental health excuse as a shield to hide behind , when the truth is they were really just a class A cunt, there is no excuse to put your hands on a woman you claim to love . Mental health my hole , Serge saw through his bullshit and was in a better position to judge than any fan .

I met Tom and a few of the other members of Kasabian outside Leicester train station whilst I was there for a weeks worth of work. He didn’t want a fuse so I didn’t give him one. Tom is very down to earth and I asked “ why are you always on a European tour when I want to see you live”? He replied my family always say the same thing. He was waiting for sergio to get a train to the recording studio. I wished that into existence as I really wanted to meet them as I’ve loved them since the soccer am days. I didn’t take a picture but I did in my mind.

When it came out he had been fired from the band, he put out a statement making it seem like he was a victim, no mention of the pain he had caused on others. Then the band was forced to come out and reveal he had physically assaulted his partner. Now in this "remorseful" video he again paints himself as a victim. He never once mentions how his partner must have felt through it all, just that he had been through hell. This is why it's so unconvincing to most of the viewers of this video.

This is classic example of a guy who can't take ownership of what he's done. It certainly comes across as he sees himself as the victim. Feel sorry for the woman, very weird that she's almost apologies for him. The way that they both say it was a one off at the same time screams of denial from both of them. Very sad that someone in his position can't lead a better example other than being a twitchy addict who denies responsibility and blames it on his adhd. Very sad.

I could be more understanding if this was his first meltdown, but it’s not.. The last time was in 2017,when he split with his long term partner, he had to move into his own flat, as he’d had a ‘serious meltdown’, he gives us all a head’s up regards his ‘self destructive behaviour’. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that this isn’t Tom’s first violent freak out. This lovely partner will have given him yet another chance. So yeah, I’m with Sergio on this, you can’t keep fucking up like this and expect people to say oooh, he’s fixed, he’s been sober for 8 months so it’s all ok.

Also he denied everything until he realized there were a lot of proofs like videos also the witness his own child who called the police, if you don’t know about law, let me tell you this was better for him (admitting the assault) not because he was feeling any remorse but cause it was better for him, if he still denied the assault even with those proofs showed in court there would’ve been a more serious court ruling for him. @@marky1888no1 It depends on the crime committed. If it was something small then ok. However what he committed was domestic abuse, which isn't a private issue (despite his wife forgiving him) it's a sociatal issue, it's a moral issue and it's a criminal issue. If it just rested on being a private issue what message does that send out? That domestic abuse is ok? It can get be swept under the carpet and all will be forgotten? Sorry no. What Tom forgot was that people like you, me and the others listen to the band's music and some people will look up to him even, people have spent their hard earned money on seeing the band live, bought the records. So the lads had no choice but to let him go. He not only let himself down but everyone connected to the band too. He let himself down further by only admitting to it after he was shown security footage. Ffs he did it in front of his child and the child had to call the police. It's very sad however I hope he can get the help he needs. John Lennon should have been punished for what he did to Mrs, though domestic abuse was largely ignored back then, if he had done that in this day and age it would have been a big issue.

Would be nice to hear the word sorry somewhere here Watching this you struggle to work out what’s actually happened, I get life’s not black and white but doesn’t come across well, shit happens isn’t really a valid excuse in 2020 . Ladism has aged

Things happen in life? How many times in your life have you got on the sniff and twatted your bird? If this wasn't Tom from Kasabian......if it was Pete from down the estate who got coked up and punched up his chick........would you be saying "things happen" ? You're trying to be forgiving.....what you're actually doing is suggesting to people this is okay if you're famous enough and do a 2:47 clip to say sorry. It's not, ask your wife.

Two people grasping onto straws. I loved kasabian, but when the missus is brought in the salvage the day it’s all very sad and not warranted.
