I’ve seen enough cases like this one to believe that the former sheriff probably got this deal because he’s got dirt on someone that has some influence over the DA there. If even a penny of the money he stole our things was paid for with FEDERAL money..... Then ANYONE who is a citizen of America should be able to say there peace if they so choose! You know as a single father of two little girls and also helping take care of a elderly mother sheet my father passed a few years back....... Taxes keep going up along with the price of everything, while wages and my mom's social security is NOT going up at the same rate...... It really Ts me off when government uses OUR hard earned money for themselves all while getting PAID in TAX MONEY with a VERY VERY heafty salary in the first place. While our elders likes my mom can't even afford to eat all month if she didn't have family to help. Yet she is told her $1500 a month or so is too much to qualify for food stamps or other low income programs. Whole also having crap health care where she pays around $100 in co pays to see her doctors reach month and around $320 for her medication.... So that leaves around $1100 for mortgage, utilities, necessities, far payment/insurance and food......

Holy moly, whoever exposed this corruption deserves recognition of some sort! Not only was he getting a tax payer funded paycheck, but he used tge city's credit cards for his personal spending, stole cars and committed fraud by trading them in for personal vehicles which he sold and put the money right in his own bank account, aaaaand used taxpayer funded employees to do work on his personal property. Aaaaaand commited tax fraud!!!!! Jeebus, i haven't heard what his sentence is yet, but I can guarantee it's not enough.

Every person arrested by this guy while as sheriff should be looked into. All the officers under him that made arrest while hecwas sheriff should be looked at also.
