I loved the first 3 seasons because honestly my family life growing up was just like this show but it just got more & more woke and less about the underdogs in the ghetto just trying to get out or or get by

Just finished season 9, and tbh it’s TOO political but it had its moments. You’re right how the earlier seasons are better cuz they’re all actually together as a family compared to now but I’m still gonna watch seasons 10 and 11

I started shameless in 2021, I thought I was in for a awesome journey watching this family grow up. Episode 1 I fell in love with the show. But as each season came by I realized it was getting disappointing and stupid. So many wasted potential with characters. Lip got married to one of the worse characters on the show. Also he didn’t get a good job with his intelligence. Carl,Frank,Fiona and Mickey were like the best part of the show. Couldn’t stand Debbie when she was teenager to now. Ian was a mix. He can be really unlikeable at times. The last 2 seasons Ian was decent. Kevin and Veronica idk what happened to them. They basically were had there own side show after like season 5 I think. I wasn’t interested in there life one bit. When I first saw Kevin episode 1 I thought he was some cool badass white thug. But he turned out to be a soft moron. I don’t care that they made him stupid. But he was such a Pussy. I don’t think he hurt a fly the whole show. plot holes were everywhere. Characters disappear, like I was really expecting Samantha,chucky and Fiona to come at the end. That was heart breaking.

Hope we get a complete series finale review! Also your thoughts on the rumor they ended season 11 the way they did because showtime is making ‘Shameless: The movie’ based around the family including Fiona and Sheila planning Frank’s funeral and the chaos that causes. I guess due to covid restrictions Emmy & Joan couldn’t travel to film the final episode and the producers didn’t want them to be in the show in like a FaceTime or something so they saved the real ending for the film they are about to start production on. I don’t know.. gives us fans some hope I guess. Great videos!

Watch six feet under for another crazy dysfunctional family also a powerful dark comedy drama like shameless. It ended perfectly after 5 seasons so no bullshit dragging on like shameless

i started watching shameless like 3 months ago and last night i found out that fiona is not there anymore, she is the reason why i started it watching, i saw the clip of her in the bus trying to get the black lady a seat and i feel in love with her. carl and lip are my second favorite. im on season 10 right now but some plots are so dumb and go nowhere i find myself laughing at how dumb and on the nose some of their themes are. im heartbroken over emmy russo

This show started out wonderful! I loved it and liked the tone. But it started to get too deep for me and everything stopped making sense. And a lot of the characters became less and less likeable. The show is SHAMELESS not Poorest Luck in The World and Everyday Something Goes Wrong and You Never Get A Break. Too many unfair things happened back and forth and there was never a satisfying moment. Shameless means without shame. Doing things you’d normally find taboo or sacred or “down bad”. Coming from a messed up family with terrible parents yea I get it that they would have some disruption here and there but every single episode there’s something unfair and completely stupid going on? I hated it. They ruined Debbie, Lip, and V. Debbie was once a seemingly caring and very intelligent and interesting in her own unique way to a completely rude bitch. Lip was a wild card, had his own teenage shit to handle, a likeable asshole, and a protective big brother. Then he was written to be a high-horse dick riding mean guy who told his sister’s BEST FRIEND not to help her when she was having a rough time in life. V was likeable for many reasons but I instantly disliked her when she listened to Lip and turned Fiona away. They literally ruined those characters and I just don’t get it. The whole show had potential and it went to shit so fast it nearly made my head spin.

The show has its moments and the characters are charming despite their self-destructiveness. I lost interest when they started to get more socio-political and the characters became more destructive and selfish. It wasn’t entertaining anymore it was just annoying and depressing.

Old shameless is great, but now that they've done everything and now that everyone is grown up the show is literally a trashly written piece of forcing agenda's down your throat, Ian is gay (which has always been a thing but for some reason with Mickey the one guy who should NOT be Ian's gay lover) Debbie is an extremely annoying feminist with so many forced altercations, Carl's story isn't terrible but Ethan Kutcosky's acting is terrible, every scene with Liam/Veronica is either them explaining black history or just straight up making fun of white people for being white, Lip's character sucks after he left college and Frank's writing is just not funny anymore.
