From a flop hero ( Thokar, Rail ka dibba), he became a superhit hero through relentless efforts and devotion. His performance in "Brahma chari " was superb. Rafisaab's songs was an additional advantage for him. Songs of " Tumsa nehi dekha", "Dil deke dekho" sung by Rafisaab helped him to become a dashing hero. After Junglee, he didn't need to look at his back .He acknowledged it and his relationship with Rafisaab was intimate and informal .
