A new League of Ireland season kicks off on Friday night and, for some of the protagonists, the hours leading up to kick-off will be the least stressful time of the year.
Everyone is unbeaten at this stage.
At Premier Division level, there is a feeling that the most competitive campaign in years is around the corner, but that’s more to do with the picture further down the table than the anticipated scenario at the top end.
