Another color question for you: Beginner here. Why are some colors "opaque" while some are "translucent"? I have noticed that some colors in my (student grade) palette go on with a lot of deep color from the get, and others go on and appear "see through".

Watercolors have different characteristics and levels of transparency depending on what the pigment is made with. For instance, Cadmiums are more opaque while phthalos are more transparent. As you get to know your paints you will better understand their characteristics.

Hi, that is nice, thank you. But may I suggest one thing, the banging on the glas of water with the brush as well as moving the plate is quite disturbing, so maybe you can do another setup to keep the noises more calm and pleasing for the audience. But love your content, really. I just wanted to give you a feedback. Best wishes
