How do you want to show off your vocal skills? Shanae: yes. It just didn't compare to the sheer carisma of Robbie. I loved both of their performances, but to the common folk (which would probably be me), Robbie didn't try to shove it in my face. I honestly think that goes a long way. Obviously both are insanely skilled vocalists, and I'm not gonna pretend to be clever on that subject (which absolutely none of this comment section should try to), but it did seem like Robbie was just more relatable in terms of an Elvis song.

Yes I’m randomly enraged about it right now hahahah I’ve been holding it in since it happened and want to punch guy for doing this!! He convinced her to be on his team, knowing that she’s had setbacks/rejections that were the very REASON she didn’t initially audition-as they made her question her own singing abilities….so he acts like he’s going to be this great mentor for her, then drops her the first chance he gets?! Not even close. Robbie embodied Elvis. Charisma, stage presence, and he didn't even need to overly shove his incredible vocal skills in our face. Not every performance has to be this theatric "i-have-to-show-my-vocal-flexibility-to-the-full-extent" kind of performance. Robbie fulfilled the challenge the best, and deserved that win.

I’m SO MAD AT GUY for becoming all buddy buddy with Shanae and her family from the get-go (I understand that he’s just an all around nice guy-but he ended up hurting her much more than helping her…which wouldn’t have been the case on ANY other team)-he was acting like he’d already started taking her under his “coaching wing” BEFORE she chose which coach to go with. He was well aware that the REASON she didn’t audition initially was because a couple of rejections had knocked her back and messed with her confidence in her singing abilities. He shouldn’t have fought hard for her, knowing who he already had on his team and not being POSITIVE that he actually WOULD fight for her-as opposed to freaking DROPPING her the first time possible!!! I so wish she’d been on one of the girls’ teams-if that were the case, I honestly think she’d be going to the semifinals. Love Jason but his top 2 are amazing so it would have been a toss up. Also I want to hear more of her!! He cheated us by only letting us see 2 ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND MESMERIZING songs of hers….I don’t get how someone can perform 2 truly incredible performances and go home so early….she has so much more talent than so many others who went further than her (also I have no idea what has aired at this point since I’m in the US hahahaha but I’m so much more invested in the voice AUS because the talent is SO MUCH BETTERRRR! And I love these 4 coaches together!) And I actually don’t exactly understand the rounds and how it works haha I’ve tried googling and have yet to have things become clear Ok rant over haha I’ve been so mad about this since I first saw the clip though (which was the same day it was put on KZbin!)

There was something a tad juvenile about his performance (though it was of course great-just getting to the nitty gritty bc the talent this season is phenomenal)-he just didn’t hold a candle to Shanae’s wonderfully ethereal voice….soo unique and pleasing to the ear, and crazy how natural it seems to come to her! She should have absolutely won between these 2. Disappointed and honestly confused about Guy’s decision making in this…!

Robbie definitely deserved the win. Heres why: If you have a good ear or you simply appreciate all voices and can tune in properly alot, you can hear that Shanae had PLENTY of vocal mistakes. She tried to bite more off than she could chew. It really messed up the song for me too. I also feel like she didnt tap in emotionally enough to the song for those vocal mistakes to be overlooked. I see why guy picked the way he did. Robbie had a great performance, matched the energy of the song perfectly, he stayed in his pocket and executed the song well enough. He had some mistakes here and there but you could feel the intention behind his voice for the song. Another thing is, Shanae needs to work on finding parts of the song and staying in that pocket especially here. Her Chandlier performance was decent, and i loved the range she showed but u could tell she was trying stuff she wasnt even sure she could pull off in this performance and a little bit in her chandelier one. Its all about knowing your voice and being content with what your voice can do. Challenging your voice is all fine and dandy but dont push it past its limits. Guy chose right.
