Virgil and Ox Baker would greet you as you pass their gimmick table, start up a conversation, ask your name and then write to so and so on an 8x10. When you say" I don't want that", they would tell you "I already put your name on it".

I met Virgil in Wheeling West Virginia in 1988 at a dog track I was 10 years old I walked up to him to ask for an autograph and he said get the fuck away from me kid I don't sign autographs. He was the first adult that ever cussed me out but being an adult and understanding wrestling he was in Kayfabe.

About 10 years ago, I got to give Virgil a 2 Sweet 👌🏼 in the produce section at the Bridgeville PA Giant Eagle. 🙂

Haha, I’m living near Rogers, Ohio..Met Virgil there before and I go to Rogers sale all the time! Sell my produce and collectibles there at times. Place is pretty big and one of the best flea mrkts

My earliest memory of virgil is that royal rumble when he went toe to toe with giant Gonzalez wearing that zebra print. He did pretty good from what I remember. RIP
