I just have to say, as a woman who worked as a bartender/server for a decade, a customer asking for your number is a literal nightmare especially the pushy ones. If you give them a fake, they know where you work so they can find you again. If you tell them no, they get shitty and best case scenario, they don't leave a tip. I've had men wait in the parking lot for me after I've closed down the store. It's actually terrifying.

I worked in a coffee shop and a bookstore for 9 years, and one guy stalked me from my morning job at the bookstore TO my evening shift at the coffee shop for days on end, and I have never been so freaked out. Theres a 24 hour coffee stand chain where I live and they give the night shift workers a whole ass armory of creep preventers lmao I was friends with someone who worked there and she said they had cans of mace below the register and they allowed women with carry permits and safety certifications to bring their pistols.
