@@corneliali7747 Idk if they edited it out, but it seems they ignored most of the VHS tapes and notes laying around. For example, there is lore in Eliot Ludwig's office (the one with the red door at the beginning), they explain he lost someone close (I believe it was his daughter) and that he's experimenting with small animals and poppy flowers to (iirc) resurrect the dead. There are also a lot of notes that indicate that they are testing children to match them with specific toys so they are (presumably) used to make the toy feel alive by somehow transforming them into the toys. So yeah, Shane got it with almost no information.

The great thing about that commercial is how nostalgic it feels without it being real. The toy is a play on the toy Betty Spaghetti which I do remember commercials for. so somehow I missed my notifications for these and therefore ended up watching these two after the finale - and I have to say this was the best of the series. The other games seemed like they were about jump scares or just being spooky for the sake of being spooky but these had a story in it, puzzles to solve, mini games etc etc that really upped the tension. I was SO invested in your escape and I'm actually kinda sad chapter 3 either isn't available yet to play or that you guys haven't played it. Hope it comes next season!
