@@wubranch1 At last, Marty & Doc learnt something crucial about themselves. However, the ending of BTTF(1) & the (wrongly)deleted scene in BTTF3 provide a clue for a BTTF4. Well not really, rather a new BTTF = Biff To The Future. For, whether for killing Marshall Strickland or attacking the stage coach, mad dog Tannen would have got hung anyway. The pretext for deleting the shooting scene as too violent, got the bottom falling under it. Since the stark violence of Tannen's attempted murder on Marty by hanging, was nothing short of staggering in a movie that's supposed as comedy only.

It is the best trilogy because of the writing, the cross references, setups and payoffs. Even though the sequels weren't a part of the original plan, they were brilliantly written so that it feels like one long seamless movie in 3 "parts". See, this is one of the things that bother me about this series.. Following the timeline from the car's perspective.. Doc gets it in 1985, it goes to 1955 with Marty, back to 1985 with Marty (Clocktower), then on to 2015 with Doc.. Then back to 1985 where Doc, Marty, and Jennifer take it back to 2015 to fix the problem with Marty's kids, then back to the alternate 1985.... Then back to 1955 to fix the Almanac timeline, then 1885 after it is struck by lightning... ---- Waits 70 years in the cave ---- Uses 1955 available parts to travel back to 1885 to rescue Doc... Gets pushed by train back to semi-normal 1985 and destroyed by oncoming train..... -- So on that date in 1955, there would have been three DeLoreans present. The one on the street in front of the courthouse, the one fixing the alternate 1985 timeline, and the one in the cave. Holy crap -- I still get the feeling that something is missing.... ---- ANNNND.. I just figured it out. 2015 Biff took the flying DeLorean back to 1955 for a short hop to give his younger self the Almanac before the dance.. So yes, there was a brief cross-over moment in 1955 where the same DeLorean would have been in FOUR places at once.. I feel like I just graduated a course in Quantum Physics and Temporal Mechanics .....

@@stephanefarnes6398 There were four DeLoreans in 1955 at the same time: 1) The DeLorean that Doc buried in the mine in 1885, 2) the DeLorean Marty traveled in during the first film, 3) the DeLorean Old Biff traveled in from 2015, and 4) the DeLorean Doc & Marty traveled in to fix the timeline. All, of course, are the exact same DeLorean at different points in its own chronology.
@elbertphillips8487
@elbertphillips8487 2 жыл бұрын
@@jordanwindham3804 There would only be 3 DeLoreans in 1955. 1) The DeLorean from part 1 would be there 2) The next DeLorean would be when Doc, Marty and Jennifer went to 2015 and Biff takes that car and goes to 1955 (2nd DeLorean in 1955 now). 3) Then the 3rd DeLorean would show up when Doc and Marty find out the timeline is messed up and go back to 1955 and get there when old Biff is still present before he takes the car back to 2015, that would leave just 2 DeLoreans in 1955 now. So now we have the car from part one still there and the car Doc and Marty took back to 1955 to get the sports almanac. The car used to get the sports almanac can't get buried in the cave until the lighting hits it and sends it to 1885 which means it can't be in 1955 flying above Marty while he burns the sports almanac and in the cave at the same time. The car is in the cave only after it got hit by lighting. So there was only briefly 3 DeLoreans in 1955, we never saw the one that old Biff had there in 1955 but he must of had one there somewhere.
@Blaklighte
@Blaklighte 2 жыл бұрын
@@elbertphillips8487 Why couldn't the DeLorean be buried in the cave the entire time? It doesn't make sense to say it wasn't there until the flying one was struck by lightning. If Western Union had that letter in their possession for 70 years, that means the DeLorean was also always there.

2015 was so crazy because they knew when writing the script that any movie that goes to the future dates itself. So the design directive was 'make the future user friendly' and treat everything as a bit of a joke. The interview about the ending of part one being a gag turned into a problem with writing the sequels because they added Jennifer and said they were going to the future, so they wrote themselves into a corner for the start of the sequels that they had to write themselves out of. The 'Chicken' sting was intentionally overplayed in part 2 because the were concerned it wouldn't be remembered by part 3. Because part 2 and 3 were written as one film some set ups and pay offs were split between movies so they lent heavily on prompts in the hope people would be remember them across the films.

I’m a little late to the party, but I wanted to say how much I loved your thoughtful and emotional reaction. I saw all 3 movies in the theater, but I only remember seeing Part III specifically because it was with friends on the last day of my sophomore year in high school! This trilogy is so amazing, and over the years I’ve grown to love Part III the most. When I was a kid I loved Part II the most for the sci-fi elements of the future (flying cars!) and the alternate 1985. The timeline shenanigans and especially how they interacted with the original movie are still astounding. But as I’ve gotten older, I think Part III is now my favorite. The focus on Doc and Clara’s sweet nerdy romance, and the relationship between Marty and Doc that has been built up over 3 films, make it an excellent conclusion to the series.

This is _long_ after you've reacted to this film (and I'm watching for the umpteenth time because I love it so much), but a couple of bits of trivia occurred to me that are ... well, temporal. When the film was released, people my age (I'm 56) recognized ZZ Top due to a signature move that they used in their music videos of the era. In their videos, the guitar and bass players would spin their instruments 360 degrees at their waists. In this film, all three spin both the guitars and drum 360 degrees at their waists. On a personal note, my Middle School French teacher's husband ran a limousine service. When ZZ Top toured in my area, he drove them around. My French teacher told us about it, but it being a French class, she insisted on doing so in French. She correctly prounounced the band's name as, "Le Zed-Zed Tope."

The one old biff stole when he went back to give himself the almanac. 3. The flying one Doc and Marty took to intercept old Biff and young Biff (when Marty was in the backseat of Biff's car) and 4. The one sitting in a mine shaft the entire time.

The whole "racing Needles' scene was filmed on Doris Ave in Oxnard, CA, which was originally only a two lane (one each way) road. They totally redid the entire street, including adding the traffic light at the intersection. Also, the Delorean destruction scene was filmed in Port Hueneme, CA, right near Port Hueneme beach, just a handful of miles from where I lived. The mine and cemetery scenes were also filmed nearby. So many locals showed up to watch, it was crazy crowded and near impossible to see anything.
