These came out after I built up my gravel bike with AXS but did it with the SRAM blips in the same location. Worth the upgrade.

Thanks for the video. I had a pair of clics laying around for a while and finally wanted to install them but could not find the ports. The instructions only told me about the blip box so I was afraid I missed something when ordering. Did not realize those bright read pieces are the ports. :) I actually wanted to sell my unused clics after hearing about the wireless ones but they will probably not be available before next year where I live. I think I will upgrade later because I want the ability to easily take of the areo bars when packing my bike for flights abroad. Thanks again, helpful information. Cheers.

I got the RLT 9 RDO five star build with the Force AXS 1x over the winter and love it. Unfortunately I'm finding that the 1x is a compromise with this bike and want more gears. Now I have to wait for the wide front derailleur to become available. Need to replace the chain ring and cassette as well. Niner should have offered this as a 2x from the factory.

The blips do the same thing and can be installed anywhere on the bars. I’m guessing these might be a get around to mount them on flat top bars cos the blips seem to be designed for round bars.

Shane did you find the new shifters affected your hand position at all? Also I noted when you were playing, er, I mean testing the shifting that the system shifted quicker than my past experiences with SRAM etap which were comparatively sluggish. How have you found the shift speed vs Di2? Thanks

Can you program the multiclic to do the opposite of the paddle shift? So you can do up and down shifts one handed?
@gplama
@gplama 3 жыл бұрын
It's complicated with AXS. You can have the lever change up and multiclic down, but that will unassign any up/down function of the opposite lever. If you then reassign either up/down to that opposite lever, it'll unassign that function from the other lever. It's not as customisable as Di2 in this regard.

Are you happy with the placement of the shifter relevant to where your thumb is when riding on the tops? Seems far away from the stem, or where your thumb falls naturally. I am riding 42mm bars and would prefer the shifter closer to stem. I am guessing the 150mm cord could be too short?

No... but it’s not as you’d expect with the options. Up on the right, down on the connected Multiclic is possible but will disable the left shifter. I’ll need to tinker with this some more... and get a BlipBox to find out what’s possible with that.

I have both (and a pair of clics). The blip buttons are basically designed to be operated by your thump. They are harder to press and you must hit the button at the correct angle to make the shift. Multiclics require less effort and can be operated with any finger easily. The felling is identical with the clics.

Multiclics will not work on the 2022 Trek Checkpoint SL6 etap Rival AXS . You have to get a blipbox for the multiclics and then you lose the function on the shifter which sucks. So If I wanted it to work as stated on video I would have to get SRAM Red or Force shifter. Neither are cheap.
