How about an update? I have Samsung Galaxy S10 Ultra and iPad Air 11"... and a Surface Pro. Yes, I'm a tablet freak! 😄 I have a mini Windows PC too. I use it as a do-it-all computer. Why do I need so many tablets? Each one has its uses, but this mini review is about the Samsung. I thought a different angle may benefit those who need yet another review. First, its size is perfect for my lap. When she is there, the keyboard is somewhere else. When she is reunited with the keyboard, I don't need a computer. This is almost as good as one. Yes, there are missing bits, but I never code on a tablet or use specialized software like UML tools and such. So, it handles all the remaining bits whether it be office apps, video apps or apps that have to do with audio. Did I tell you about the video and audio quality? This is better than my TV. That's for sure! I use iPad only on the go... meaning I'm not going to give a lecture or anything. Because in that case Samsung is the one I pick. Also, there is nothing like Garage Band or iMovie for that matter, anywhere else. Other than those, who needs an iPad? You know what, although it has the best pen experience, I haven't touched my Surface Pro for a while... and that tells something.

Nice video! I'm upgrading from the tab s6 lite 2024 and tab s7, so this will be an absolutely worthy upgrade. Going with the s10+, though, as this will be used for on-the-go artwork. I worry that the plus as is may be too heavy for my frail arms, but the aspect ratio that Samsung tablets have makes the 11" models a pain to run many art apps on, which led me to not use the s7 very much back on its release year.

Just got my S10 Ultra as part of a trade-in deal with the S8 Ultra. Honestly, it looks very similar to the S8 Ultra. The good news: I can still use my old keyboard with the S10 Ultra. (The camera area does not fit, you can ignore it or cut it bigger to fit. ) The bad news: The keyboard doesn’t attach as securely as it did with the S8 Ultra. Samsung downgraded the SD card holder. The S8 Ultra had a much better SD card holder design. It included: A SIM card slot on the back of the SD holder. A cutout in the front for easy removal of the SD card. A metal plate in the center, which made it stronger and helped reduce heat. The S10 Ultra, on the other hand, has a 100% plastic SD card holder-no metal, no reinforced design. It's disappointing to see Samsung take a step back on something that was so well-thought-out in the S8 Ultra. other than that, speaker is better and screen too. hope they had used the newest 8 Gen 4.

@@ShaneSymonds Yeah, I have large format RPG PDFs, and unfortunately if you want to do the side to side viewing on 16:9 or 16:10 ratio tablets, you end up with black bars on top/bottom. The iPad has a better screen ratio for that. Movies, etc, are in a variety of weird widescreen formats, so yes, they're better on the Samsung or other android tablets. On the side of irony, the Apple ratio is perfect for old school gaming, where they were played on 4:3 TVs... and yet Apple doesn't allow emulators... or at least try rather hard to prevent them from being available...

Its mind blowing to me. and I have mutltiple diff surround systems lol.

Ultra tab is on another level in terms of size. Conventionally large tablets fall into the S10 Plus/Redmi Pad Pro category for sure and either of those are fine. The Ultra is a laptop screen/portable monitor that can be uncomfortable to hold and is mainly used propped up on a table or on my lap

Funny people say it’s not good for emulating because i show dolphin emulator in this video and it runs perfectly fine and smooth for me. Played that game for at least 10-15 hrs in the past 2 months on this tab no problem. It runs similarly as my S9 and a little laggy on my SD 8 Gen 1 on my S8.

I pretty much did that in this video. S8 Ultra can definitely be found for cheaper but has worse battery life & performance and is the same tablet aside from that. I also recommended to steer clear of the S8 at this point since S9 & S10 are better performing devices and worth the extra cost if this is a device you do a lot of things on like myself. My thought is that they already offer other 11" tablets that could be far outselling the flagship one like the Tab A9+ and Tab S9 FE so maybe sales were so low on the smaller Tab S9 that it wasn't even worth making a S10. Others speculate that Samsung is working on a tri-fold foldable with a 11" screen so they will want to capitalize on that as much as possible. Regardless it does feel like it's getting ditched in the current flagship tab series.

I used the new a17 pro iPad mini for a couple weeks and here’s my initial impressions: great to use the pencil with it, size is good for writing notes, gaming with it in the controller shown in this video is perfect for stardew valley. The 60hz refresh rate is fine for games but feels sluggish anywhere else. I have no desire to do work on this mini even though other creators praise it as a good little work machine. Right now my sweet spot with Apple tablets is the iPad Pro 11” M4. It’s miles better for productivity vs the mini, the screen specs are much better, and it still feels portable. It’s more expensive especially with the keyboard case but it feels like the best portable powerhouse device right now even though the OS feels a bit limiting at times with Stage manager not feeling nearly as good as DeX.

This video was 3 videos/ideas I had packed into 1. 1. With the only change being the anti-reflective screen I felt like I needed to take the proper time on comparisons to glossy displays and matte displays so I can show the viewer noticeable differences. 2. I have highly viewed S8/S9 Ultra videos on the channel so I figure people would appreciate follow ups on those devices and how they stack up against the newest. 3. Aside from all that I used the S10 Ultra exclusively for 10 battery cycles to get a feel for it as my primary device. All of this happened over 2 months hence the title. I think anyone leaving this video disappointed should check out my S8/S9 Ultra videos for more of a pure “review”.

@@moonknight8693But are you having any actual problems with the processor in real life use that makes you not like it? Like performance drops? MediaTek on this S10 is running identically as the Snapdragon for my basic use cases of 7-8 hrs over 2 days nothing has been any different. So at this point I’m a little skeptical of people “not liking processors” when this one works flawlessly for everything I’ve thrown at it over 2 months time so far

@ShaneSymonds I know I just don't like mediatek 😢and I play pc games with emulator like winlator which works pretty well with snapdragon. I was waiting for s10 but what they gave I end up with s9 😢 ultra was tooooooo big and expensive 😂

laptop like.....lol.....its more a laptop screen thats tablet like.....I do love a big screen thats portable however.....I had a surfacebook 2 for a cpl yrs and since the screen was 13 in and detachable I used it way less as a tablet due to it being a bit unwieldy so to speak.......Its really too big too awkward and too heavy to be used as a tablet one handed for very long. Not to mentin the laptop price tag that comes with it....wow

That’s why the back stand is so clutch on this. It’s so nice to prop it up anywhere since it gets heavy to hold after an hour. It’s nimble enough to carry around place to place and I end up taking it on a lot of trips with me because it’s a slim product with very large TV-feeling screen. It’s what I wish every portable monitor would be as standard. I also had a surface book and overall it was way too bulky so I can tell you first hand the Ultra tab feels more compact and everyday user friendly

I have both the s9 and s10 in my household, people that talk about the antiglare coating is a game changer are so overdoing it, it's barely noticeable if your outside and sitting with the sun behind you... no wonder Americans have a high credit card debt don't trust these people. I would never recommend upgrade from the s9 ultra to s10 ultra!!

Meanwhile I show 5 or so side by side shots in this video that are (to me) a noticeable difference so I guess it’s a matter of opinion. With the recent trend of anti glare screens making a comeback I am switching a lot of my devices to it because it’s noticeable for me on the Steam Deck, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and this Tab S10 Ultra. It’s been around on S24 Ultra but it’s more noticeable for me on larger screens. I didn’t elaborate on this point during the video because I am always keeping my videos as concise as possible for viewer retention & analytics sake, but right now I can highly recommend both the S9 & S10. Just get S9 if you don’t care about anti glare, and people can upgrade to the S10 from S9 for ~$200 if it’s worth it enough for them which it is for me. It’s not putting me into debt and people’s spending habits & choices are their responsibility not mine. I’m simply sharing what I’m excited about and you can take it or leave it.

Stop trying to gas like people to thinking they need newest in the best everybody would be just fine with the used S8 ultra at $400 because 99% of people who buy a tablet use it for a month or two then it's sitting in a drawer somewhere and it never leaves the house anyway

A $700 or less new Tab S10 Ultra is definitely a better deal than a used $400 S8 ultra for new prospective buyers

I think the big problem with the s8 was always the battery no? probably the biggest upgrade between the two. and the s10+ will be more optimized even on the software side so the companies really force us to upgrade, even though the hardware is not as big of an upgrade like the op says.
