Can this help to scan badges of employees to take list quicker? I belong to an emergency brigade in my company, and we have an access card with some digits on them, when we do simulacrum we kind of screaming every body's names to make sure nobody stayed behind, but is not very practical, I was wondering if when I scan a badge, can this one remove if from a list or personnel, and leaving names of people who has not report to the reunion point. Since the second run, my phone (iphone 12 pro max) only showed a black screen wih some symbols, still scanning codes, but not showing the view. I think it is just up to your camera/device vs. quality of the barcode. I don't think there is a specification, just how far away can it read what it sees.

I have not. Hmm. Why do you need to Reset it. You should be storing the output into a variable and referencing the variable. So you could set the Variable to blank to "reset" things.

Do you know why when using the new barcode reader, the output of the scan into a text box always contains the last scanned item? Every time i scan an item and submit, when i return back to the scan screen, the previously scanned item is still there! Shane, This video was great! Thank you! I'm having some issues with the app I'm trying to make and was hoping you would be able to help. I have an asset list in SharePoint that automatically creates a barcode when a list item is created. The SharePoint columns are pretty basic (Status: 'Checked In', 'Checked Out', Serial Number, Barcode, and Person. The goal is to be able to scan that barcode in the app, have it generate the SharePoint list item that I scanned, and then be able to change the status to "Checked Out' or 'Checked In' and then change who it's checked out to. Great Video as always, I think I'm close, I can scan and populate a Label, but when I scan to a gallery item, it does not populate with the scanned contents. I get a beep and it populates the Label as a test, but the Gallery item is blank. I put on the OnScan a Patch(ProductMapping, Gallery2.Selected, {PLots: First(BarcodeReader1.Barcodes).Value}); and Plots is a column in a Data source collection. Any help would be appreciated. This works a million times better than the old one and is great for sure... but... i got this to work perfectly on my s23 ultra but could not get it to work on our a7 lite or a zebra tc72. Also, if you put it next to a regular button, you will notice how offset it is. At the bottom and the right side has weird white pixels. This makes it a pain to align inside of containers.

Everything works great for until I test the app on my iPhone 14. I scan my barcode and the number is recognized while the app is using the camera, but when I hit submit the VALUE carried back to my gallery is blank, although the TYPE is not blank!

I need to use scanning mode : scan multiple as my users need to scan many barcode per hours. How do you validate barcode value? Issue: barcode label has 3 barcodes. One has length, one has weight and the one I want has the alpha numeric unique identifier formatted as “#### #### ####”. I don’t want the length or weight.

The one thing I haven't seen anyone really address is hidden alt characters in a barcode, especially QR codes. I run into this alot in my industry field. They use end of file marker, end of line marker and carriage returns to get multiple lines of data in a QR code. This can really screw up your database if you don't strip that info out. With Excel it's easy, just use the CLEAN function. But with PowerApps there is no CLEAN function unfortunately.

@@ShanesCows your thumbnail shows you scanning a QR code. Also, I realise there is no tutorial out there on how to associate QR quote to per entry in sharelist -> not using power automate. Would be cool if you have a tutorial on that!
