Shanghai, China I Hongkou Old Town Walk I 4K

Hello friends!
This time our footsteps are strolling around the old streets of Hongkou, which used to be the birthplace of Shanghai culture and the origin of cash culture, but with the passage of time, Hongkou district has undergone administrative demolition and changes, and is no longer the same as before. The history of the old city of Hongkou dates back to the Ming Dynasty, when the area was characterized by small rivers and bridges. With the diversion and dredging of the Huangpu and Suzhou Rivers, three sections of the Lujing and Shajing Harbors, which used to flow into the Wusong River, converged in Hongkou, forming "Hongkou", which later evolved into "Hongkou". It used to be a place for boatmen to dock their boats, fishermen to dry their nets, and a prosperous market town for commerce and trade.
However, the old Hongkou Street is now a completely different place. In the process of demolition and renovation, many old buildings have been demolished, and the vacant houses are like the sets of movie scenes. This kind of change makes people feel a lot of emotions, but also makes us cherish the historical and cultural heritage, and preserve the memory of what still exists.
