It's not financially sound to offer free coffee if people go there just for that and not buy any other things. What Ikea should do instead is coffee at discount at certain time period. Otherwise people will sit there all day and genuine diners will be deprived of seats.
@sola439310 ай бұрын
Is pretty hard to do consider their respect elderly culture, may be they are still making money even with this going on. Old people don't really drink that much but the seating is a problem for other people who want to have a meal there. It is still better than bunch of kids and teenagers hanging out there, i would prefer this instead.

Location is also an issue. In Spain we get free coffee at Ikea, but Ikeas are generally a bit 'out of the way'. Half hour out of the city centre by metro, and you have to walk through a mall to get there. You don't go there just for the coffee. If it were at street level on a busy city block, sure it would fill up with people who just wanted coffee. 😅

Imagine the lower income who is living in coffin home 😰. I was living in Shanghai for study and work for a decade, I saw the development of Shanghai since they only have 2 lines of mrt.
