Beautiful plane, but came way to late. with the relaxation of ETOPS, the airlines are loving the fuel savings with twin jets. They've only sold like 3 A380s in the last several years.

And German High speed trains are as fast as the Chinese.... but not from Frankfurt to Leipzig as these tracks are 150 years old and winding along the landscape. But if you take Frankfurt towards Cologne the speed is the same 300km/h

The fact that the flight was near empty was not due to a pilot strike. It is because people are not that interested in going to china anymore. I think a much smaller plane is in order for a trip like is as Lufthansa is just wasting money on flying this massive plane to places without much traffic.

May I ask why the sound keeps changing throughout the video? I really loved it when I could hear that in surround-sound. I would have been able to hear those engines much more, especially during takeoff. The sound is canned and slightly muffled. Then, it opens up again which is wonderful. Could you please keep the sound wide open like it became? I guess you filmed the takeoff from two different vantage points? I don't know, because I'm totally blind, and I love to hear the sound of those engines. It's terrific when it's wide open like it is during that second takeoff point. I know when it closes up again during the announcements about the meal options that you must have a reason. I love the speakers on the A-380.

some months are really slow between China and Europe; Moreover, a lot of overcapacity exists in the marketplace, after Hainan, Eastern, Southern, Xiamen and Air China have started countless of routes into Europe in the last years; even Austrian has launched a Shanghai service recently; thus, its difficult for Lufthansa to fill with whalejet with enough high yield pax

I'm from Chicago and Im an avid "planes spotter" and I've noticed the (north america-europe) and (north america-asia) markets become heavily over saturated. I mean for God's sake both Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airlines operate to Tokyo every day from chicago! all Nippon operates two flights to Chicago a day!!!! new airlines that have started to fly to O'Hare in the past 5 years include China Eastern, Hainan, Emirates, Austrian, Cathay Pacific, korean, and believe asiana. It's truly remarkable how fast this all happened. Just a decade ago if you wanted to fly overseas from ORD, especially if you were traveling to the Orient, you either took united or American. to say things have changed would be a a vast understatement. anyway thanks for the video. amazing production quality; you really deserve more attention to your Channel.
